[Resolved] Voltas / Split A / C — compressor burst | |||
Dear Sir, We had purchased a VOLTAS 1.5 ton spit A/C Vertis Gold I from S.C. Shah & Co (P) Ltd. On 26.05.2010 through bill no:AN 2496. The A/C was installed on 27.05.2010 and demo was also given for 5 minutes only. Later we switched it on and it was working only for 10 minutes and there was a bursting sound with smoke in the outdoor unit. We complained to the service people they checked the unit the next day and said that the compressor tube had burst and there was a manufacturing defect in the outdoor unit. We complained to VOLTAS on 29.05.2010 the complaint no:10MY2901293 about the problem and they promised a new replacement for the outdoor unit on 31.05.2010. But I have not received the outdoor unit till now. The company people told us that we have to co-ordinate with the dealer. The dealer is not sending us the outdoor unit and there is no proper reply from the dealer side. We are unhappy with the quality of the product as well as the service and the dealer.
