[Resolved]  windows live hotmail — A case of email spoofing

MY E-MAIL ACCOUNT WAS HI-JACKED IN EARLY JAN OF THIS YEAR. MANY ATTEMPTS TO
CONTACT HOT MAIL FAILED ' I NEEDED TO HAVE THIS ACCOUNT CLOSED BECASED IT IS BEENING USED BY UNKNOWED PARTY TO ASK FOR MONEY. IF YOU CAN HELP ME PLEASE E-MAIL ME AT [protected]@yahoo .com. INO LONGER CAN USE MY HOTMAIL ADDRESS,

I, Pramod Jain ([protected]@hotmail.com), recieved a mail from the hotmail team telling me to update my id by replying them my hotmail id, password, date of birth and country.So i send all the necessary details to avoid the account suspension.
A day later when i sign in, it was telling invalid user id or password.So i thought the team may hav blocked for verification purpose but on the same day i recieved call from my friends who were in the contacts of my hotmail id telling that they are recieving a mail from my account.

The following was the mail given:

Hello,
How are you doing ? Sorry I didn't inform you about my traveling to London for a program, I'm presently in London and am having some little difficulties here because i misplaced my wallet on my way to the hotel where my money, and other valuable things were kept.I will like you to assist me with a soft loan urgently with the sum of ($1, 500) to sort-out my hotel bills and to get me back home. I will appreciate whatever you can afford to assist me with, I'll Refund the money back to you as soon as i return, let me know if you can be of any help?

The above was the mail send to all my contacts.

I would like you to help me out from this circumstances since i had many mails and contacts which were important and most importantly they are using my name for all this illegal activities which could cause me trouble.

Please provide me the necessary details for what to do, where to complaint, and how to get my account back or close it at earliest on my new email id [protected]@gmail.com ???

I can't get into my hotmail account, I keep getting a up date message from MSN, even when I sign out and try to re-enter. I put a a dash where it says not to show this message again and it does do any good. What now?

I ALSO ENCOUNTERED THE SAME PROBLEM AND ONLY MICROSOFT HAS TO SORT OUT THE ISSUE

I think Microsoft needs to get their crap together. I've heard of getting spammed and stuff by putting your email on game sites, pornography sites, etc., but not getting spammed by YOUR OWN EMAIL PROVIDER. I keep getting all these emails FROM HOTMAIL, about special sports offers and crap, and now my freaking email page is so crammed with adds, that I have to tell it to open the whole message because it doesn't have enough room! UGH!

To ensure I don't get spammed by some looking for emails on sites like this, I have only posted my junk email.

I think I'm just going to stop using hotmail, and start using Yahoo!. At least they're smart and think about the user, who doesn't want to go claustrophobic every time he checks his/her email!

Seriously, XBOX 360's don't work, and neither does hotmail. Screw you, Microsoft.
