Yes, Yahoo India hosting sucks. They are completely novice and does not even understand what does it mean by customer support. In hosting plan they mention about 24x7 support, however, their support number says they respond to small business customers between 9am to 9pm during Monday to Saturday. What if my site is down? Whatever happens they are least concerned. Almost every feature in their control panel is buggy which they care a damn to fix in spite of repeated complaints.

Yahoo Server is the most hopeless. The web pages seem to open fast. But their database speed is terrible. I had to move out some of my applications from Yahoo to Net4India, who are though costly, give very good speed. Yahoo People dont know anything. They simply escape questions. I think they have only two people to support the customers. Even a simple logout script takes minutes not to speak of fetching a few records. If you dont want database, then you can go for Yahoo.. If you are using Database, in my personal opinion, stay out of Yahoo.
YAHOO INDIA — Not getting proper answer nor service from Yahoo after taking their services
We have taken a domain registration along with mail id(personalized) with yahoo India. We could not able to configure or use our personalized mail ids with given pop and smtp server. We made 15 calls to the number from where we have ordered services everyone is committing call back within 5-10 minutes from technical team, then we kept waiting no one is bothered to call upon. When we tried to call up technical team, almost ring passes and while get connected to that number, before conversation, call getting disconnected. No one is providing complain numbers we sent almost 4 mails to their mail id where we can complain, no solution nor any reply from the, as well.There is no fun availing service without availing facilities of it.
Please suggest what to do?

I agree. I also ran into similar incident with yahoo. I had purchased a domain. Yahoo has renewed the domain's subscription using my credit card information without my consent. Though i received a mail that the subscription will get expired automatically once the date of renewal is over. I was assuming that my subscription will get canceled subsequently as per the term and conditions. But, to my utter surprise, they used my credit card for renewal without my consent and the charge also much higher than the previous years.I tried to contact them by email. But so far no response. The phone is also not reachable.Anyway i will not let them go free.Already i have initiated a case with consumer forum and will soon serve them a legal notice.I suggest you also do the same thing.

Completely agree with you guys. I am appalled at the service of these guys.

You have to call [protected]. You call that number, they ask you to dial 1 for
existing small business users, your call is never answered.
I dialed 2 for new registrations and presto, but the guy put down the
phone immediately as soon as I started complaining.
At 17.58 they ask you to call at the normal business hours.
Not a long time ago, I received an interest to interview for Yahoo,
I am so happy I haven't taken up the offer.

We have hosted our 20 sites on one of the worst hoster service providers in ahmedabad. www.intellectualssolutions.com ..this site is the worst service provider we ever work with, , they took payment but not given any single reply to their client. even we called them also, but they stupid answered us like we are kid of junior KG. they really don't know what is the hosting, how it works and what service customer should get.

Yahoo sucks to the core.They are professional cheaters targeting Indian customers and cheating them.We should not let them get away wit this and to my dismay they have stored my CC details which is worrying me.When asked about that they say we dint but when u try to register for the second time the system shows u ur card numbers and wil not ask for confirmation.

I agree with all you guys that we have been shortchanged with yahoo india with their web hosting and other services. I am facing a similar problem now. Having purchased a domain from yahoo india, they have not mailed me the control panel access/passwords for me to upload my site on my own domain name which i purchased from them. Inspite of repeated reminders writing emails to them no one has bothered to reply. I will will be in deep trouble if my site is not online, because i have just started my own design agency, giving up a lucrative job with times of india. And already got my entire stationery printed with the url on that.
No way i can change that or buy another domain. As is customers right Yahoo has to provide me all the relevant details for i have paid for. I am also thinking of logging a complaint now. This is sheer arrogance and unprofessional behaviour from biggies like Yahoo.

Agree. the service of yahoo is not upto the mark rather I would rate it very poor. I booked a domain but they spelled it wrong.Even after several days & numerous calls what I got are hollow assurances but no action. I strongly recommend others not to seek the services of yahoo.
