[Resolved] — Is A Big Fraud Company

I booked one ticket by calling their office in Gurgaon in july first week. I was told 32000/- airfare for USA. I paid the airfare and next day when I asked them about the ticket then they said the fare has been incresed and I have to pay 41800/-. Can you imagine the fraud done with me by Actually I was booking this ticket with other agent in 35400/- and I told them that I am getting this fare from other agent, Then he told me lesser fare, but in actual there was no ticket with them on this rate. They know that once the person pay the money then they can charge according to them only and they do not leave any option to the customer. these peaople are just cheating the people.
I told him that if you have hold my ticket then how the rate has been changed then they tell that their sytem got failed at the time of booking etc etc and these are the readymade story they tell to each customer like me.
So I would suggest the people that please avoid this company to buy a ticket and also tell your friends to avoid it. You can not do any thing against them as they have their own Advocates and Judges. I told them that I will put my case in court, then he laughed on me saying that you can go any body can do anything against us...etc ..etc.
So please think 10 times before purchasing ticket fro and do not believe on their sweet promisses.

I had booked my ticket through from US>>UK>>India>>Within India>>US costing me 2712$. To be honest I would request everyone NOT to buy any tickets from them though you are planning to purchase domestic Indian flights/ holiday package. Well, finally I got my paper tickets delivered to me by FedEx 6 days before the departure date. However, I rubbed my out so hard to get the tickets. This is how it worked for me.

I purchased these tickets on 11th September from US. On 12th Sept my credit card was charged with 2712$. They said I will be receiving my tickets in few days. However after infinite calls each call lasting between 30 min to 2 hours (including waiting time) they were not able to provide me exact date or FedEx tracking number. I had called them continuously for 5 to 6 days without any satisfactory answer. I read lot of reviews on fraud and decided to find my own way getting my tickets. This is how it worked for me.

The credit card transaction had 2 entries. One was "XXX Airways" followed by my paper ticket number. The other one was "Agent Fees" (XXX travel in US). I called Bank of America fraud department and told them that I am suspicious about these transaction. I told them very clearly that I had authorize to charge my credit card. I did not authorize XXX Airways or XXX travel to charge my credit card. The fraud department assured that if this is true then a complaint would be lodged against XXX Airways and XXX travel and I do not have to worry at all. Bank of America would refund all the money in 30 days. I was relieved and did some homework before calling

Although claims that they have office in US/ UK/ Canada, in reality they does not have. The office they usually refer is an wholesale dealer/ agent present in these countries. In my case it was XXX travel. I talked to this wholesale dealer how he charged my credit card? He said we usually sell these tickets to and not to the clients. I cross- questioned him my credit card is not yatra's credit card and I could see that you have charged me and not yatra. That means you are answerable to me and not yatra. He got little afraid when I summarized the conversation I had with Bank of America fraud dept. I also suggested him googlizing fraud and let me know what he thinks. The whole team of XXX agent agreed that is not honest.

Now, I called and talked to the sales manager very professionally. I said to her that I have this information in hand which is absolutely not satisfactory about I do not have any personal grudges with the call center guys or you. But if you cannot answer me within next 24 hours then I have to find other ways handling this situation. That means I have to mention all the names of yatra employee to whom I had a talk. That means these yatra employees would be unnecessarily found themselves in a very bad situation. I will wait patiently for 24 hours if nothing satisfactory has been done to my situation then I have to take further actions. After ending this call, my tickets were delivered by FedEx within 24 hours. This FedEx packet was originated from XXX travel in US and not The FedEx delivery was Priority Next Day Airmail.

Few suggestions:
1. Always write down the call center attendant's name.
2. Try your best getting hold of sales manager or floor manager. Write down her name.
3. If any person assure something, request him writing down in email and send it to you. This way you have an evidence to plan out further action.
4. Be very polite and professional to everyone while talking to The more you be polite the more information you would be getting. Once I freaked out and suddenly yatra people disconnected a call.
5. Freak them out. If they says that their floor manager is on another call then tell them that you have lot of patience. You will wait for him forever. But do not disconnect and call later.
6. I kept Airways and US travel agent's name confidential as they really helped me in providing perfect information.

I hope this information would help anybody who is in the same situation as I was before. It is better to do business with US based agent than
