[Resolved]  Yatra.com — money blocked while booking air ticket

i was in the process of booking a flight from mumbai to delhi. there incurred some error, mostly a deliberate one, or may be it was a flaw in yatra.com website that i got the message that my ticket money, Rs. 3585 was blocked and then it has not yet been released. when i contacted their customer care, they say it would take 7-8 days before it gets refunded. so it has caused a great deal of inconvenience to me and i urge the concerned authorities at yatra.com to help my cause immediately.

ON 12 JULY 2011, I AMIT CHAUDHARY BOOKED MYSELF ON AIR INDIA ,FOR A DELHI TO SRINAGAR FLIGHT ON 17 JULY 2011 .MY YATRA REF NO. WAS 7195199.SINCE I HAD SOME MORNING COMMITMENT TO MEET THE SAME DAY I SPECIFICALLY BOOKED FOR AN AFTERNOON FLIGHT (AI-825)WHICH WAS TO DEPART AT 1145HRS TO BE EXACT AND WOULD HAVE REACHED SRINAGAR AT 1300HRS.I DID MY CORRESPONDENCE WITH CERTAIN MR RAJNISH KAUSHAL OF YATRA.COM FOR BOOKING THAT PARTICULAR FLIGHT.I COMPLETED THE PAYMENT WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS AND MR RAJNISH KAUSHAL ALSO CONFIRMED ME FOR THE SAME FLIGHT.TO MY HORROR ON 16 JULY 2011,IN THE MORNING WHEN I LOGGED ON TO TAKE A PRINT OF E-TICKET I SAW MYSELF BOOKED FOR A MORNING 10 O CLOCK FLIGHT (AI-425)INSTEAD .I IMMEDIATELY GAVE A CALL TO YATRA.COM REGARDING THE WRONG BOOKING.AS I REMEMBER I FIRST HAPPEN TO SPEAK TO MRS RAJNI FOLLWED BY MRS DEEPA,THAN MR RAHUL.I EXPLAINED WHAT HAS HAPPENED FIRST THEY REFUSED TO BELIEVE ME THAT I ACTUALLY BOOKED FOR A AFTERNOON FLIGHT .IN MY DEFENCE I ALSO E-MAILED THE MAILS EXCHANGED BETWEEN ME AND MR RAJNISH KAUSHAL FOR THE SAME .THIS CALLING TO THEIR OFFICE STARTED AT AROUND 9 O CLOCK IN THE MORNING AND EVERYTIME I CALL I HAVE TO TELL THE ENTIRE STORY AS THEY WILL NOT PUT ME THROUGH LAST GENTLEMAN OR LADY I SPOKE TO. THEY PERFECTLY PLAYED THEIR WAITING GAME UNTIL IT WAS 3 O CLOCK IN THE AFTERNOON WHERE IN A LADY FROM THEIR OFFICE GAVE ME AN OPTION OF PUTTING ME ON DIFFERENT FLIGHT.BY THAT TIME I HAD NO OPTION BUT TO FLY IN THAT 10 O CLOCK FLIGHT AS I COULD NOT CONFIRM MY TRAVEL PLANS TO PEOPLE IN DELHI AND SRINAGAR.THIS UNPROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOUR OF YATRA.COM HAS CAUSED ME MENTAL TRAUMA AND FORCED ME TO CHANGE MY BUSINESS PLANS.I WAS MADE TO LOOK LIKE A AFTER SPENDING 12K RUPEES AND TO BE ON SAME FLIGHT WHICH WAS OTHERWISE AVAILABLE FOR 4K THOUSAND LESS WHEN I BOOKED MY FLIGHT ON 12 JULY BECAUSE OF SOME INSANE PEOPLE IN YATRA.COM. I DEMAND A SORRY AND MONETARY COMPENSATION FROM YATRA.COM AND DEFINITIVE ACTION AGAINST MR RAJNISH KAUSHAL.

Yatra.com — Not refunding the amount for the booking which is not confirmed

Dear Sir/Madam,

On 6th of August i booked ticket for Mumbai to Bhavnagar to be travelled on 10th of August. On 9th of august when i am trying to take print of my ticket, it says it is unconfirmed. when i spoke to customer support of yatra, they confirmed that the ticket is not confirmed, pls. book another ticket and your money would be refunded. All conversation was with transaction referece no. [protected]. Since no ticket was available for the same flight i had to book the flight to ahmedabad for the 10th of aug.

On 10th when i am reuesting for my refund one executive Mr. Mohammad Imtiyaz is telling me the amount cannot be refunded as your ticket is confirmed. Why would i make two tickts for sam passenger, same day, same time for 2 differnt destination ie one for ahmedabad and one for bhavnagar. he understand the situation and told me that there wont be full refund. i asked for call retrival for 9th of august and he told me that youcannot have it today but can have it tomorrow.

On 11th of august i again called and explained whole pain again to Mr. Suarabh, but to my bad luck he didn't understand anything and i spoke to his senior Ms. heena Sharma, to which she confirmed that i need to provide agent name that i spoke on 9th of august, then only they can retriev call, other wise it is not possible.

My whole concern over here is if there's some fault in the system of the vendor why should a customer suffer, they are not providing me full refund neither the call wherein the agent confirmed that the full amount would be refunded and go for another booking. in such an scenario i am helpless to process further.

Kindly accord with judiciary award.

Yatra.com — Charges for minor changes

I booked internation flight ticket on 10th Aug thorugh yatra. Even after getting the email confirmation ticket was not reflected in my yatra account. Also once ticket is booked , you can not modify / cancel the ticket online.

On 11th Aug 2011, i wanted to make the changes in my ticket as title given was Mr. instead of Ms. I was assured by yatra that problem will be resolved in a day however there was no response even after 15 days. When I reminded them by logging a complaint, I was asked to pay approximately 5000 rupees extra ( when i checked the airline site, tickets were available in the same price )

Can you please help me to resolve the issue? Now i do not want to travel on this ticket because as per yatra , it mignt be a risk.
They do not have any cancellation rules / guidelines available on their website for international flights.
