[Resolved]  Zara — refusal of exchange for faulty pdt

I purchased a denim Pant from ZARA store in infinity 2 Malad west , Mumbai, in the month of Aug 2012
the Pant in its second was got big white patches . The pant was washed with proper wash care instructions , by turning it inside out, washed in the delicate cycle of machine using Ariel Top load washing powder.

When the pant was taken to the store they took a picture of it and told me they will get back to me after checking with the Head office. after 5 days they got back to me saying that they require the bill. because i had bought it almost 2 months ago and had no intention to return or exchange it i did not keep the bill. then i was asked to bring the bank statement to find out the exact date of the purchase.
i doubted the attitude of brand as they were only delaying the procedure. so i asked what would they do with the statement, to this the answer from the store manager named Nikhil was " we will check the exact bill date and then from that find out how this pant was washed , in what temperature and if bleach was used" this is the most nonsense answer i have ever heard... basically when provoked the manager told me that even if i come next time they will not exchange this pdt and then put allegations on my saying that i had washed the pant in Bleach!

iam a Head Buyer myself in a very reputed international brand , and i understand fabrics and their characteristics very well... this was a genuine case of faulty pdt which was refused to be entertained by the soo called famous and reputed brand called ZARA.

i wish to sue them for selling such pdt at a premium and fool consumers.
