[Resolved]  Consumer Online Resource And Empowerment Centre — dishtv does not refund deposit or balance amounts on account termination.

Following is my email to dishtv customer service (3rd time - twice thru their online portal). I get an automated receipt confirmation and after that i receive another mail to provide feedback on resolution though no resolution is provided. Twice i have also given very poor feedback as well. Still no response.
Dishtv owes me rs.2368 which is in their account since past 2 years.

This note is w. R. T multiple discussions between self and dishtv, which started around may 2018.
My dishtv vc number and my registered mobile number is given above for reference.

I have been a very long respected member of dishtv for close to 12 or 13 years. This was while i was residing in pune.
However, due to work related aspects, i had to move to chennai in may 2018 and this is when i started my discussions with dishtv for termination of my dishtv membership.

Strangely, though i had a very good long standing relationship with dishtv; i was told that instead of terminating my account and refunding the deposit, dishtv can transfer my connection to my new location.
I was fine with this and on reaching chennai, i gave my location details to dishtv for transferring the connection. However, dishtv team failed in getting their necessary sales progressed within the hiranandani community in chennai, where i live.

Instead of terminating my account, due to dishtv’s sales failure at my new location, i was given the option to deactivate my account till i return back to pune. I was expecting to return after a period of 2 years and hence agreed to it and my dishtv account was deactivated on 9th july 2018. I was also told that, it will automatically get re-activated by 10th july 2020, if i do not activate it earlier. Meanwhile dishtv team would try to get their sales team to work at hiranandani premises and get their setup done here which did not progress at all.

Since july 2020 is closing in, i thought of reminding dishtv that, their hiranandani setup is not yet done and i will not be moving to pune either.
Considering this, i would request, dishtv, once again, to terminate my account for good and refund my deposit amounts. Please do not give any further extensions to my account.
I have listened to all the options suggested by dishtv for a period of 2 years. Now a company like dishtv should not be holding back a meager amount of approx. Rs.2368 just to keep extending a member who has no option of getting it extended, because of poor sales by dishtv.
In this scenario, please do not extend this discussion any further and i would request termination of my dishtv account and a full refund of my deposit amounts lying with dishtv for close to 15 years now.

Looking forward to a positive response from your end.
