Consumer Online Resource And Empowerment Centre — ICICI bank: EMI deducted even after reporting to ICICI customer care

Hi Team,

I have bought 2 products on Flipkart EComm website on 5th October 2021 and cancelled the products as the delivery is delayed and I moved out of India. I bought them usingICICI Debit card EMI option. I have reached out to ICICI customer care on 14th October 2021 and customer rep raised a request to cancel the EMI

Flipkart have sent canceIlation message of EMI at theor end and I have called ICICI customer care and raised the request to cancel the EMI since the order was cancelled. ICICI executive has received the order and confirmed me that EMI is cancelled. But I have seen the in my bank statement that EMI for Rs 7929 has been deducted from my account on 5th November. I again called the customer care and the rep told me that the monthly cycle has gone by and I cannot get my EMI back to account.
Please let me know
1. The reason for the deduction even after the transaction is cancelled and the request is raised for cancellation of EMI. ICICI has sent mail that incase of cancellation the customer can call bank within 15 days of transaction for EMI cancellation, but I reported before 15 days of transaction
2. When will the EMI amount deducted be credited back to my account
