Cooperative Housing Society — transfer of share certificates of the deceased member

One of our member, who was a bacholor, passed away in his flat around 5 yrs back. Then his 2 brothers have come as his legal heirs and claimed the ownership of this flat. They have done all the legal procedure and submitted the court order, indemnity bond, and affidavit.
Now can the society transfer the share certificate on his brother's name?
Or he should get the name changed in the cidco office first and then come to society for transfer of share certificates?
For your info our conv deed is not yet done and its in process. Please guide us as this matter has become very serious and we are not able to take any decision.
