I left a container of brownies, at the front desk, for the customer in room four eleven at the wilson north carolina campus. I was not told by the front desk person that they could not keep food behind the front desk. The person behind the front desk contacted the inhabitants of rome four eleven or attempted to. However they were not there. she failed to leave a message to let them know that the package was there. Had I been told that food was not allowed to be kept behind the front desk, I would have gone home to put them in some other type of container. I spoke with the manager this morning and she was not helpful. She was kind of flippant, if you ask me. She was not at all apologetic for what happened. This incident is unacceptable. The manager tried to say that Sunday is a busy time, but there was no one but me in the lobbI have worked for a hotel and I always made guests aware of policy, ie food behind the desk.
I do a lot of traveling and not yet been to a Country Inn and Suites and I doubt I will. It is too bad the one bad experience ruins a potential customer. Was this information helpful? |
