I received a call on 30/11/2017 saying that i had won a prize but in order to claim it, it was mandatory that i should attend a presentation along with my spouse. They said we have won a kitchen set, 1 week free holiday accommodation voucher worth of rs.25000 and 1 free voucher for using country club resort facilities for family in bangalore & free movie tickets in selected malls for two members. When we arrived at the venue at the appointed time, we were welcomed by a marketing executive of country vacations, who started explaining the benefits of joining the membership of country vacations. Following are the details & benefits explained verbally to us before becoming the member of cv. 1. Booking for accommodations can be done throughout the year including purple, blue, red and other seasons. 2. Free accommodations can be utilize all over india and seven asian countries i. E. : 1) malaysia 2) cyprus 3) thailand 4) singapore 5) srilanka 6) indonesia 7) dubai 3. We have been said that we can access all 250 country clubs in india and 50 clubs in abroad including ck 27 without paying any charges or fees and can utilize all the facilities like spa, swimming pool, gym, sports, party halls & decorations etc., & there will be a discount o[censored]p to 20-50% on food. After becoming member we came to know that we cannot access ck 27. 4. We have been informed that we can avail the services (Point 3 services + 1 week free holiday accommodation) along with lifetime membership. And the membership can be cancelled at any time and they would charge 10 % for cancellation charges. 5. We have been said that up to 12 family members the accommodations will be provided free of cost. And they said if your not interested that’s not a problem you can collect the four gifts & you can leave after waiting for 30 mins we received set of 6 jamun cups, one day entry free voucher for country club resort, voucher for holiday accommodation for one week with valid for 1 year (Do know whether it works or not & for free movie tickets they said we have to call their executive & book the tickets for only on monday & wednesday which we have to inform them 2 days before for booking that too within in 7 days. I called that executive by name ms. Geetha on monday which i planned for movie on wednesday & she informed me that one person will be calling me and block the tickets but after 2 days also i dint get any call from that person & i tried to call geetha & there was no any response from her side so i called to office number & one person received my call after trying for long time. Then he said she is not in office so i explained him regarding movie tickets booking & he suggested me to send details by whatsapp & i will receive movie tickets from the same whatsapp number. And i just asked why geetha is not responding so he said i don’t know sir you have to ask her only so that i said that’s what she is not responding how can i ask so i am asking you. And he was very much rude & he gave a careless answer if she is not responding what i have to do.
I tried to contact the support/marketing team but in no vain. This made us suspicious and when we checked “country vacations” review on internet, we were shocked to see how may innocent educated people were cheated by this fraudulent company.in view of the above, we seek your intervention to obtain compensation on grounds that we have been cheated into joining the membership of country vacations. We request to refund the money we have deposited along with the cheating penalty. Also we would request you to blacklist this company and prevent from targeting other innocent victims.
