Nov 25, 2025
Updated by Ome2022 Hi,
This communication serves as a formal notice regarding the serious negligence and mishandling of my motor insurance policy by CRED, which has directly caused financial loss, emotional distress, and obstruction of my legitimate insurance claim.
Please note the following facts:
The accident took place on 18 November 2025 on Badlapur–Barvi Road, where two stray dogs suddenly crossed from the left to the right side of the highway. The animals came directly in front of my moving vehicle, resulting in an unavoidable collision. The vehicle lost balance and sustained significant damage.
I duly submitted the claim form to the insurer on 21st Nov 2025 Claim form is attached.
Despite having successfully paid the insurance premium on 29 October 2025, I was informed by the insurer that no active policy coverage existed. Upon investigation, it became clear that this issue has arisen purely due to CRED’s failure to correctly capture my policy details.
As a direct result of this error, my vehicle currently at the TATA service center in ambarnath has not been repaired, as the insurer cannot process the claim without valid coverage. This has placed me under severe financial strain, as I am short of funds and unable to proceed with the repairs independently.
Your negligence has caused me to suffer:
Financial losses
Delay in essential vehicle repairs
Significant mental stress and inconvenience
Loss of trust due to what feels like deceptive handling of my policy, to the extent that I feel cheated by CRED
Even if the insurance date is now corrected, the financial and emotional damage has already occurred. For this reason, I hereby request:
Immediate rectification of the policy details and confirmation of valid coverage;
Immediate coordination with the insurer to ensure smooth processing of my claim;
Compensation for the inconvenience, delay, financial hardship, and stress caused due to CRED’s mistake
Important attention - While this incident pertains to a car insurance policy, I wish to draw attention to the seriousness of CRED’s negligence. If such an error had occurred in the context of a life insurance policy, the consequences would have been far more severe and irreversible.
Sincerely,
Omesh Shivalkar.
