Purchased online from Croma website a Croma TV (24 inch) on November 8. It was delivered on November 9th morning. At the time of online purchase, I had requested for installation and demo.
After delivery, I requested for installation and demo multiple times, but I was told I need to wait for 24 to 48 hours for installation.
About 3 days later, I got a call from Croma saying I need to pay for the installation and demo. I told them there was no mention anywhere that I would be charged for installation and demo.
It has been more than a week now and during that entire time I placed requests and raised service requests at least 4-5 times.
Finally, when no calls came I arranged for a technician on Urban Clap and got it fixed.
Just a few minutes back today (November 15), I got a call from Croma asking if a technician called. I told them nobody called but that I got it fixed.
The customer representative immediately said that the warranty will be voided.
First of all, there is no mention that anywhere that I will have to pay for the installation. There is also no mention anywhere, neither were we told on any conversation, that if we got it installed the warranty would be voided.
What fraudulent ways Tata Croma adopts to penalise customers for their failures to keep their promise to install within their timeline!
No ethics whatsoever.
I want them to assure me that the warranty will not be voided because it is their fault that they did not provide installation and demo within the time stipulated by them.
