Daikin Air Conditioners / Daikinindia.com — Daikin Pathetic after-sales service.

I am having my worst ever experience with Daikin.

We purchased a Daikin AC on 3/Oct 2021 from Amazon.in and got it installed. Filed a service request on 30/Mar as the cooling is poor, under Ref 25994781. Their agent PP Ent called asking Rs650 visiting charge - and said the cost of gas will be further Rs3450. This was even without checking if any problem in unit. Their rep visited on 31/Mar with an attitude problem, opened unit and asked for the same gas charge.

He agreed its under warranty and said as they didn’t install, we have to bear all charges. I told him will talk with their corporate office and get back. He then didn’t take 650, put back the cover of AC and sent a SMS that the work order is cancelled !

NOW THE AC IS WORKING WORST THAN WHAT IT WAS BEFORE HIS VISIT. I ALSO FOUND A SCREW ON THE FLOOR WHICH HE HAD REMOVED FROM AC BUT NOT FIXED BACK.

On 1st April, I spoke with customer service and narrated the whole thing. Mr Bhanu apologised and assured that a senior engineer will attend fast and ensure that it is repaired properly. He gave a new work Ref 26026377 and confirmed that I don’t need to pay anything and its under warranty still. I am sure the recording of this conversation will be in their system.

Same evening, PP Ent called and said we need to pay charges. I explained Daixin confirmed and promised to send a senior engineer too, and he can verify with his company.

Today 2nd April nobody came for the work. Mr Sachin from their customer service heard the whole thing and flip flopped for doing the work.. while he agreed Amazon wont tell customer to install with them, started quoting some fine print in their warranty etc. After more conversation, said his senior manager will call me and solve it. NO CALL FROM THEM AS OF POSTING THIS.

I am left holding a Daikin AC low cool AND worst than before, haphazardly installed with a removed screw by their own service personnel. And an unfulfilled promise by Daikin which has flip flopped in a single day. With such pathetic handling the trust in brand Japan has nosedived.

Please address above issues urgently.

Reminder - Till today (5/April).. Daikin has chosen to stay silent on all their assurances and promises.
1st April Their own personnel Mr Bhanu's service order 26026377 is showing 'Cancelled' on website
2nd April Their personnel Mr Sachin's word that Sr Manager will call and solve - No call - No solve - Nothing.
Staying silent will not make the problem go away for customer.

To Daikin Team, Your service ref numbers are given in my complaint, still unable to locate them ?
Anyway, i had also emailed same to your customer support which was replied and attended by somebody from your own team.
I close this case now.
