In December 2019, we purchased a 1.5 Ton Daikin Inverter AC for our home in Mumbai from Daikin's authorized dealer Aircare Technologies Pvt. Ltd. The dealer persuaded us to opt for an inverter AC instead of regular one by telling that the device will last longer and run more smoothly. Since we have been using regular Daikin ACs in our old home for more than 10 years, we trusted their advice.
However, not even 3.5 years later the AC stopped cooling and we found out that the PCB in the outdoor unit has been damaged. We raised a complaint with Daikin and after 10 days of correspondence over email and call they have informed us that they cannot do anything to address the issue as it is beyond their standard warranty period(1 year). We are being asked to incur a cost of 9000 Rupees to fix the AC due to a part that has malfunctioned within 4 years of purchase.
In addition to this, the Daikin service system itself is extremely frustrating. Every time you raise a ticket, they will cancel it for a different reason and then you have to call or email them again to reinstate your request.
As Daikin customers of over 10 years, we are appalled that we have to face this issue and hope that you will learn from our experience and opt for a different AC. Was this information helpful? |
I, too, am facing the same issue. The whole process of raising request, being allotted a service person and then waiting for a part with no updates on the same is very frustrating!
You should do better than this DAIKIN. The issue seems to be running with the same model as informed by your service person, either callback the product or let there be a suitable informed resolution to this.
