Dear sir,

I am a residing in chengalpattu, (Periya natham, mettu street ward 6) for past 5 years. There is 4 way junction in our street and at the exact junction, there is a unconstructed garbage bin for the whole 3 wards. All the garbages and wastages spread out and occupy the whole road and none of the authorities taken care of it for 5 years. It causes disease and as well as unpleasant condition for the children and pedestrain. I have attached the photos for your reference. Please take necessary action. Looking forward to see your immediate response.

As i was living in podarankadu, maniyanoor post, salem[protected]th division).
In our area more than 12 years no proper sewage and road facilities. For this issue i have contacted cm cell, collector cell, amma complaint cell for the past 1 years.

I m from keezha puthalam village in kanyaakumari district... The roads in our village are severely damaged... And i have added the photos below... And the photos were taken by me today... The water stagnant in the pic was from the past 3 days... The road was in this condition for the past 8 yrs... I trust the daily thanthi will publish the photo and the news in the newspaper... Hello sir, i am a. A. Muthukumar from tirunelveli-dist, shengottai-taluk, seevanallur-village. I am reading daily thanthi last 12years on our home
We are brought paper on our home daily but last one year our area distribution dealers are very poor. They are supplying news paper worst timing likemorning 10 am to 11am most of time we are told to dealer people but they not given correct response. That's why our father told to stopped the news paper last two month back. Heartily we are missing daily thanthi.. Please do something to fever for our side. Please changed our side dealers or please advice to dealer increase the paper boys to area vice and supplying paper on early morning without fail. Thanks

Pl, share this information to your newspaper, lot of garbages and waste items are not cleaned for many months, some of the area people's have severe fever and disease, around this place lot of small children also available. Based on this garbages lot of insects, mosquitoes are enter into the residential area, pl publish this information without fail and intimate respective cooperation to clean the same and also provide daily cleaning team around the areas

I am a student studying in the second year of counselling psychology in the university of madras. I would like to bring to your notice as to how our department has been giving us one anxious moment after another.

Dr. Thenmozhi, who is the h. O. D has been constantly abusing her power and inducing fear among all the students which is causing deep emotional stress. Students are being harassed and humiliated.

Moreover, the department is running in a highly disorganized and unsystematic manner. Exam dates are always pre/postponed without any prior notice. The exam papers are often withheld and we are not allowed to even check our answer sheets. With due respect to her credentials, but sir, the classes that are conducted are of extremely poor quality. She is never prepared for the class and often we are told that it happens because it has been really long since she has taken the subject/topic. It is very difficult to find inspiration inside or outside the classroom.

All of this has unfortunately left no room for mutual respect between the students and the h. O. D.

On a personal note i feel harassed and constantly victimized and sometimes all of this, merely because i do not belong to the tamil community. Many times, the community i come from is targeted and i am repeatedly shamed. I am always looked upon as an outsider.

On confronting, we are often threatened of being issued a tc on the basis of bad conduct but in reality it is us who are at the receiving end. Students crying is a very normal sight and i feel its a shame especially when we see this in the department of counselling psychology. We are constantly reminded of the power she carries with her and that how no one can even think of taking any action against her, be it anyone from the higher authorities of the university.

Some o[censored]s have taken steps of even recording our conversations with her.

Initially we were very scared to even think about taking these issues to the higher authorities because we were under the impression that this could affect our careers. But things have only gotten bad to worse.

With all this kept aside, i still try to prove my credentials by performing at the best of my abilities. I am a married woman and although it gets very difficult, i try my level best to match up to the standards of the best students that this university has produced.

My worry is that now, with hardly 6 months before the end of my course in this university, my career is under constant threat. It takes a lot for a married woman to convince everyone to study especially when the society doesn't support me in my endeavors.

This street road on magazine road, st thomas mount comes under the control of st. Thomas mount cantonment board. The road was dug out in the month of april 2017 due to excess sewage logging and since then it was left open, leading to several health issues...

தமிழ்நாடுஅரசு தமிழ்வழி பயின்ற மாணவர்களுக்கு அனைத்து வேலைவாய்ப்புகளிலும் முன்னுரிமை அளிக்கும்பொருட்டு, தமிழ்நாடுசட்டம்.எண். 40/2010 மூலம் 20 % இடஒதுக்கீடுவழங்கியது.

இந்த சட்டத்தின் நோக்கமே தமிழ் வழியில் பயின்ற மாணவர்களுக்கு மத்திய மற்றும் மாநில அரசுகள், தனியார் வேலை வாய்ப்பு மிகவும் குறைவு என்பதை ஈடுகட்ட அவர்களுக்கு மாநில அரசுப்பணிகளில் முன்னுரிமை அடிப்படையில் வாய்ப்பு வழங்குவது.

போதிய வேலை வாய்ப்பு இல்லாத பட்சத்தில் தமிழ் வழியில் பள்ளி மற்றும் கல்லூரி படிப்பினை பயில்வதற்கான ஆர்வம் இல்லை என்பதால்தான் தமிழ் வழியில் பயில்பவர்களுக்கு முன்னுரிமை அளிக்க இந்த சட்டம் கொண்டுவரப்பட்டது.

சட்டத்தின் முன் அனைவரும் சமம் என்னும் விதி 14 நடைமுறைப்படுத்த இந்த சட்டம் இன்றியமையாதது என குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுலுள்ளது. சமமான வாய்ப்பு இல்லாத சூழலில், சமவாய்ப்பு உருவாக்குவதற்கு முன்னுரிமை அளிக்கப்படுகிறது.

ஆனால் மேற்கண்ட முன்னுரிமை பின்வரும் பிரிவுவிண்ணப்பதாரர்களால் சட்டத்திற்கு புறம்பாக பயன்படுத்தப்படுகிறது.

1. Sslc, hsc, degree போன்ற படிப்புகளை ஆங்கில வழியில் பயின்று தற்போது இந்த இடஒதுக்கீடை மறைமுகமாக அடைவதற்கு பட்டபடிப்பை மட்டும் மீண்டும் தமிழ்வழியில் பயில்கிறார்கள்.

2. Sslc, hsc போன்ற படிப்புகளை ஆங்கிலவழியில் பயின்று பட்டபடிப்பு மட்டும் தமிழ் வழியில்பயில்கிறார்கள்.

மேற்கண்ட இரண்டு பிரிவு விண்ணப்பத்தாரர்களும் தொகுதி - 1 க்கான முதன்மை தேர்வினை ஆங்கில வழியில் எழுதி, தமிழ்வழியில் பயின்றமைக்கான இடஒதுக்கீடை மறைமுகமாக அடைகின்றனர். தமிழ்வழியில் பயின்ற மாணவர்களுக்கு வேலைவாய்ப்பில் முன்னுரிமை தரவேண்டும் என்றநோக்கில் கொண்டுவரப்பட்ட இந்தசட்டமானது ஆங்கில வழியில் பயின்று, தேர்வினையும் ஆங்கில வழியில் எழுதுபவர்களுக்கு தரப்படுகிறது.

தொகுதி -1 க்கான அறிவிக்கையில், கல்வி தகுதியாக ஏதாவது ஒரு பட்டம் படித்து இருக்கவேண்டும் என்று குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. மேலும் இந்த படிப்பினை 10+2+3 என்ற அடிப்பைடையில் பெறவேண்டும் என்று குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. 12 வருட பள்ளிபடிப்பு, மற்றும் பட்ட படிப்பினை தமிழ்வழியில் பயின்று, தேர்வினையும் தமிழ்வழியில் எழுதும் மாணவர்களுக்கு கிடைக்கவேண்டிய இந்த முன்னுரிமை, 12 வருடம் ஆங்கில வழியில் பயின்று, தேர்வினையும் ஆங்கில வழியில் எழுதுபவர்களால் மறைமுகமாக தட்டி பறிக்கப்படுகிறது. இதன்மூலம் இந்தசட்டத்தின் நோக்கமே வீணாகிவிடுகிறது.

ஆனால் இந்த முன்னுரிமையை ஆங்கில வழியில் 12 வருட பள்ளி படிப்பையும், தேர்வினையும் ஆங்கில வழியில் எழுதி, தமிழ் வழியில் பயிலும் மாணவர்களின் உரிமையை தட்டிப் பறிக்கிறார்கள்.

இதனால் தமிழ் வழியில் பயின்ற மாணவர்களுக்கு கொண்டுவரப்பட்ட இந்த முன்னுரிமை சட்டத்தின் நோக்கம் கேள்விக்குறியாகிறது.

தமிழ் நாடு அரசு பணியாளர் தேர்வாணையத்தின் கடந்த கால தொகுதி -1 (Group-i service) முடிவினைக் கணக்கில் எடுத்து கொண்டால் ஆங்கில வழியில் 12 வருட பள்ளி படிப்பு மற்றும் முதன்மை தேர்வினை ஆங்கில வழியில் எழுதிய மாணவர்களே இந்த முன்னுரிமையை மறைமுகமாக தட்டிப் பறித்துள்ளனர்.

தமிழ் வழியில் 12 வருட பள்ளிப் படிப்பு மற்றும் கல்லூரி படிப்பினை படித்து முதன்மை தேர்வினையும் தமிழ் வழியில் எழுதி வெற்றி பெற்றவர்களின் சதவீதம் மிக மிக குறைவு.

மேற்கண்ட கோரிக்கையை பரிசீலித்து, தமிழ் வழி மாணவர்களின் உரிமையை மீட்டு, இந்த சட்டத்தின் நோக்கம் நிறைவேற உரிய நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கும்படி தங்களை மிகவும் பணிவுடன் கேட்டுக்கொள்கிறோம்.

EB department left 2 electric post on road during Vardha cyclone Dec 2016. On top of it our intelligent and public started dumping garbage. Building waste, food waste, trees etc etc. Many times we approached municipal head. But nobody giving proper response. Due to delay in civic polls we are unable to approach our ex MC. Several complaints to falling to deaf ears. ...Palani Andavar st, Radha Nagar, Chromepet

In KK Nagar near PT Rajan Salai, Chennai, a tree is about to fall at any time which is not noticed by anyone or the people from the near by flats to care. Nobody is ready to take necessary action as this would be fatal. I would like to bring this to your notice. There are many people accessing this road and it is main link road of KK Nagar. There is a commercial complex with Bank which is not safe for the people who pass by this road. This may be fatal if it falls on any vehicle or people by the road. I request your interference and publish it in Daily Thanthi to resolve.

Note: Rather cutting down the tree, we can tie it and make it live long safely. Attached the photos of the same.

Respected sir/madam, at walajapet vellore dt, in kakkithagara street, one balvadi that is anganvadi center is running from long years. Childs from 2 age to 5 age are studying here... But the place is very worst.. Environment also so dirty. Not so well in kitchen also.. It's very fear to attack any disease to children.. Plz take some action.. Thanking you.

In my street, they are not properly cleaning the solid waste for the past 3 months. Now the place is completely worst and it is making us very difficult to stay in this place.
Waste collector got damaged before few months and still it has not been replaced with a new one.
Last year cyclone waste is also not cleared yet
Request you to take necessary steps for bringing back hygienic environment.

In recent days newspaper vendors in Virugambakkam area, particularly Sastha News Mart, Sri Ayyappa Nagar Main Road, forcing all daily thanthi readers to buy newspaper along with Dt Next, though it is optional. They refuse to sell the newspaper without Dt Next and they say if you are not interested in buying Daily Thanthi without Dt Next, buy some other tamil newspaper. Vendors compusorily sell Daily Thanthi with Dt Next even for those who cannot read english. It is very bad and unethical

Edamalai pattipudur ward no 39, Road from annanagar, sokkalingapuram, trichy 12.some people blocked the drainage in our area due to not completed of that work.our area counsilar presently not in posting.corporation people also know very well about this work not completed.some peoples are affected some of disease due to mosquito staging in water.so please consider this message is very important.thank you.

I am staying in ambalavanar street adeena nagar arumbakkam near by vijay park hotel. From last week sunday early morning rain water is still logged in our area. Reported the issue 410gac through online portal, they closed the complaint today. Once again reopened it no action taken. Due to water log lot mosquito's are there. No action by relevant departments. Need your help
