Dear Sir:
We wish to bring to your kind notice on failure of the DCM Financial Services Ltd. to pay the maturity amount along with interest. A brief recital of the case is as under:
i. I had deposited a sum of Rs. 10, 000/- vide FDR No. 72917 on 19th March, 1997 and the maturity amount of Rs. 11, 881/- was to be paid by DCM FSL on 19th March, 1998.
ii. From 1998 we are consistently waiting for their response on payment of our hard money deposited with them and it was also followed by our finance agent Bajaj Capital, Nehru Place, New Delhi-19.
iii. DCM FSL in July 1998 informed the depositor that in pursuance of the order of the Company Law Board all deposits of Rs. 5001 to 10000 shall be paid within two years from the date of maturity at 50% during the first year and the balance in the second year. Unfortunately, they failed in their commitment.
iv. We had made a request to the Chairman, Company Law Board and consequently Min. Com Affairs vide their endorsement dated 27th June, 2006 forwarded our request to Department of Economic Affairs, Banking Division to look into the matter and to furnish a report. We are still waiting a response on this.
v. Vide letter dated 9th October, 2006 RBI informed us that they have taken up matter with Hon’ble High Court of Delhi and the matter is sub-judice.
vi. Again, Vide a letter dated 8th Nov, 2006, DCM FSL informed us that matter is with Hon’ble High Court of Delhi and to wait for the order in the matter. We are still waiting a response on this.
vii. We have also been approaching your ministry and other constituents, with no support till date. Can any Institution, like DCM be allowed to go away with money of Public?
