Last week has been a nightmare for us with sewer ovewrflowing and complaints being transferred from one official to another. This is a case in kalkaji janta flats where even the jal board officials do not know the ward number of the area. I was given ten phone numbers and each official refused to work saying that the area does not fall in his jurisdiction. Such is a pathetic state of delhi jal board and the officers claiming corruption free services.

Hello sir, iam shivkumari from satya vihar burari delhi-84.there is shortage of water in our area.jal board of our area does not supply the water properly. In our area water supply comes for only half hour...and in half hour which water does not reach at my area...so plz understand the problem and solve it as soon as possible
Respected sir, I am resident of C6-67A KESHAV PURAM, DELHI-110035. There is a sewage line passing in front of my house which is completely chocked resulting in bad odour and the insects have also
collected in their. It is my hereby request to you take a check at that and do some action for it.

    This bill is cumulative of two years and not as per actual meter reading as the meter was not working. we would like to mention here that we are just two occupants of this floor. considering this fact the bill amount of rs.5016 is inflated.

      Bill Fraud & Customer Harassment

      Consumer No :[protected]: Meter No : 15049599

      I filed a complaint for excessive billing No[protected]dated July 13th 2016) for the bill period March 2016 to June 2016. All previous bills had been paid for. After a long email exchange with the Director of Revenue and some other false bills uploaded by the Jalboard, a bill dated August 3rd 2016 was uploaded on the internet. This had the right unit reading from November 2015 to July 2016. The bill also clearly showed the reading falsification of the earlier bill:
      Bill No[protected]older bill dated July 13th 2016) gives a meter reading of 880 on 13th March 2016 when the rectified Bill No[protected] dated August 3rd 2016 on 30th Nov has 1050. How can the meter reading decrease. Further please note the contrast of false vs rectified reading.

      However, the bill of August 3rd claimed arrears of 13028.31.( No arrears were in the bill dated July 13th) Further It did not deduct the payments already made for this period despite the payment history showing in the bill. Further as per my receipt no[protected]: Payment Date : 04-APR-2016 showed the Amount Due After Pay (Rs.) : -17822.96. These facts showed that the Delhi Jal Board owed a sum of Rs 17, 822 as per April 2016. Hence after deducting the amount of Rs 14, 778 the Jal Board has a balance of Rs 3, 044. Instead of immediately rectifying this a new bill no :[protected] of 1 unit from 21st July to 22nd July was uploaded. Instead of deducting the amount of 14778, it added the amount to 13028 and thus claimed arrears of 27, 808. Again payment history in the bill shows all payments made upto April 2016. Further the bill of 3rd August was erased from the website. I again complained to the CEO and yet another bill was issued[protected]/22Aug-16 for the period from October 2014 to July 2016 asking me to pay Rs 24, 137. This is ridiculous as all bills had been paid for till the period 13th March 2016. How can bills be reissued for periods already paid for. Further there is grave discrepancy in the amounts of the older bills issued and paid for as well as for the period in contention. An extra Rs 28, 000 aprox is billed as compared to earlier bills paid from the same period and to the rectified bill of 3rd August. To give just one example :

      Bill No[protected]Aug3rd) gives for the period : 15-FEB-2016 to 21-JUL-2016 Subtotal Bill Amount 9979.12
      New spurious Bill[protected]/22Aug-16 gives for : 15-FEB-2016 to 22-JUL-2016 Subtotal Bill Amount 15932.85

      Just from these examples the bill discrepancies and frauds may be seen. This is only the tip of the iceberg as I have documented many other falsifications which have been duly sent to the CEO, the Director Revenue Jalboard and the Zonal Regional Officer Mr D.C.Jain. All this has been submitted to them.

      The modus operandi is not to address the valid complaints of excessive billing from the period of 13th March 2016 to 22nd July 2016 but instead to harass the customer. The bill of 3rd August shows the correct meter reading and unit charges but instead of recognizing and rectifying the mistake false arrears are put. When these are challenged with proof more fake bills are issued or in the last instance total denial.

      1. Periods already billed and paid for are rebilled with far greater amounts
      2. False arrears in contradiction to receipts and payment history
      3. Discrepancy in meterage (meter reading of Nov 15 exceeds reading as of 13th March
      4. Huge discrepancy in sub bill amounts
      5. Spurious Bills have no unit data for sub bill amounts.
      6. Spurious Bills do not match bills for the same period.
      7. Older bills are removed from website and receipts too are changed (Luckily I have downloaded everything)

      This violates the principle of transparency and consumer law.

      Further this modus operandi is used to tire out the customer, particularly as in the case of senior citizens. My mother to whom this part of the house belongs is 80 years old. Hence I am taking up this matter for her. Please investigate this fraud and ensure punishment for those indulging in it. As a law abiding INDIAN citizen I wish to see a corruption free transparent India.

        Dear sir,

        I am resident of c 9/9145, vasant kunj new delhi and having k no [protected] in the name of l r gupta - cat i. My water meter reading pmr dated 29th april 2016 was 1834 and current meter reading cmr on 12.08.2016 was 1902 and same is indicated in the water bill no[protected] dated 12.8.2016. But consumption calculated in 78 in place of 68 which resulted in to a bill for rs1544/- in stead of nil for the period being lesser than 20kl per month on average basis. I understand that the consumer having monthly consumption of 20kl or less is not charged any amount for its water consumption. If it is so, please look into the matter and take corrective action. To avoid lspc i will pay the bill in time and will expect to adjust it in next billing cycle.

          Respected sir/madam

          I am one of the resident s - block, parampuri uttam nagar, which comes under the paschim vihar jal board area. Our area is suffering from highly dirty and smelly water from past one week which is not even suitable for washing and cleaning purpose, no one can even think of drinking it. It smells like it comes from severage or naala water please help us in this matter since it becoming a serious issue and already made some persons hospitalised.
          We hope that our government will take some strict action in this matter so that we can proudly say that we are delhities

            I am a resident of multani mohalla, rani bagh, new delhi-34 (Near krishna mandir).
            From the past few days the water in our area is relly dirty and smelly causing serious health issues and the water is unsuitable for drinking, washing & cleaning.

            Its a humble request to kindly look into the matter and solve the same at the earliest since its causing health issues on a large scale along with other day to day problems with regards to water supply.

                Respected sir,
                This is suraj singh chaudhary s/o rampal singh r/o a 225 ambedkar colony chhattarpur mehrauli new delhi 110074.
                This is to inform to the delhi jal board department regarding the leakage of water supply at the tubewell junction. Sir actually there is a heavy leakage since months due to the bad/ loose connection at the junction only from where the water supply gets jointed from the main supply to the distribution supply which underground. So what is happening here is people use to join their personal pipe in the tubewell and use the water directly to fill the storage and to wash there cars as well as other things. So main point is water is getting wasting which very bad for us. I request you to please see towards it and take an appropriate action against it so that we can save the water.

                    I am a resident of 10/119, subhash nagar. Water is supplied at irregular timings. Sometimes there is completely no water supply as on 18/08/2016 or extremely smelly n black water supply. I being working face a big problem with this as most of the time water is supplied in the afternoon when i am not home. I would request djb to kindly fix water timings to some early hours in the morning and few hours late evening so that everybody can get water.

                      We regret to say that even after making regular complaints on 1916 we are unable to get water.
                      Earlier water supply was available with low pressure it is available for 15 mts during mid night between 1am to 2 am but now that
                      Is also missing.
                      Now a days we go and get water in buckets by walking about 1 km even after staying in delhi, capital of india.
                      We have even complained to je of our area but he is unable to resolve our water supply problem.
                      Please help us to get regular water supply with required pressure.
                      We have applied for new connection under govt scheme of rs 100/= development charges and my reference

                      Hope our water supply will improve and expedite new connection processing which we hope will given with water at reasonable

                        I hereby want to draw your kind notice towards the worst water supply in our area (south Delhi Sri niwas Puri private colony p/21 FF)We have been facing the poor water supply problem since long time.

                        The Water supply is coming for half an hr. only in the night and after sometime it comes late night after 3.00 AM with the mixture of dirty Sewerage water, Dirty bad smell water.
                        Clean water is coming only after running the motor pump for 20-25 minutes which is totally Water & Electricity wastage.
                        Kindly pay attention to our complaint as people are facing problem due to it

                          Kindly send your team to visit the place and clean the block sewers so that the water will not get logged and so as the drains . These sewers were blocked from last so many months.

                            पिछले तीन चार महीने से हमारे इलाके में पानी की सप्लाई बहुत कम समय यानी मात्र आधे घंटे तक होती है जिस वजह से इतने समय में सिर्फ पीने का पानी ही भरा जा सकता है। दिन भर अन्य कार्यों के लिए हमें पानी बाहर से लाना पड़ता है। पिछले काफी समय से यह परेशानी हो रही है। इस बारे में हमने कई बार शिकायत भी की लेकिन हमारी शिकायत पर कोई ध्यान नहीं दिया जाता। इस तरह हम पानी के बिना काफी परेशान हो रहे हैं। हमारी साथ वाली कॉलोनियोंं में राजापुरी, मधु विहार में लगातार 2-3 घंटे तक निरंतर चलता रहता है।
                            आपसे निवेदन है कि हमारी परेसानी को देखते हुए हमारी यहां भी कम से कम एक घंटे तक पानी की सप्लाई की जाए ताकि हमारी दिक्कत कम हो जाए।

                              Dear Sir,
                              Your KIND attention is drawn to the following issue for your kind perusal and necessary action. These are the only details available with me .
                              I will like to tell you that I'm living in this apartment as a tenant for 2 years and 2 months. Now I've already attached the picture of the bill. The amount is excessively high. And the landlord comes and tell us to clear it. Kindly please get someone in contact and sort this out ASAP.
                              I'm staying in 3242A which is the extended floor and the below apartment is 3242 . The total amount of the bill showing up is around 36000 which is really excessive and that too of 7 months. Sir, please get this sorted out with all the implication of reduction.

                                  I would like to register a complaint against "captain narula owner captain properties adressed a-1/132a, maa shakti appartment, paschim vihar, new delhi -110063. He is using water without any meter, this person wastes plenty of water by sprinkling water on road on daily basis. He also sale water to nearby chai wala and dhaba wala. He also put a big watercooler which is overfilled everytym and water wastes in plenty. All this is done with the help of"area inspector". If someone stops him to stop wastage of water he abuses badly he said" tere baap ka paani hai chahe jaise istemal karu". I request you to please take necessary action against this as we all cant see this wastage of water & misuse of water without any meter or bill

                                      विषय : शुद्ध जल की आपूर्ति पूरे समय के लिए न होना के बारे में सूचना और
                                      इसी सम्बन्ध में कुछ जानकारी देने का अनुरोध-

                                      7 दिन से 15-20 मिनट सुबह और 15-20 मिनट शाम से थोड़ा बदबूदार और थोड़ा गन्दा पानी आ रहा है| 1916 कस्टमर केयर नंबर पर दिनांक[protected] के आस पास कंप्लेंट दर्ज की थी| दिनांक[protected] को मेरे मोबाइल फ़ोन में आया कि ‘Your problem has been resolved’. परंतु मैं यह स्पष्ट करना चाहता हूं कि गंदे जल की आपूर्ति(सप्लाई)की समस्या ज्यों कि त्यों है|

                                      2. जुलाई, 2016 माह के अंत में ताहिरपुर जल बोर्ड के दफ्तर से क्वालिटी कण्ट्रोल के कर्मचारी/अफ़सर मेरे घर आये थे, जिनका दफ़्तर का मोबाइल फ़ोन नंबर[protected] है| उन्होंने हमारे नल की टोंटी से चलते हुए पानी को परखनली में डाल कर, पानी की जांच की और हमको बताया कि पानी की क्वालिटी ख़राब है| उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि नल में पानी आने के 10 मिनट बाद साफ़ जल आना चाहिए| अगर साफ़ जल नहीं आ रहा है तो इसकी शिकायत होनी चाहिए|

                                      3. जब पानी आता है, तो वह शुरू में 20-25 मिनट हलके पीले रंग का होता है| कृपया जानकारी दें कि पानी में पीलापन किस कारण से होता है?

                                      4. जब पानी की सप्लाई जारी रहती है तो उस दौरान बीच-बीच कभी भूरे रंग का पानी आता रहता है, भूरे रंग का पानी किस कारण से आता है?
                                      5. आपसे अनुरोध है कि अति शीघ्र पाइपलाइन की नियमित फ्लशिंग की जाये और नियमित आवश्यक प्रक्रिया की जाये जिससे हमें पूरे 1 ½ घंटा सुबह और 1 ½ घंटा शाम को शुद्ध जल मिले जिससे हमारा स्वास्थय ठीक रह सके और चर्मरोग जल्दी ठीक हो जायें क्योंकि जल एक मूलभूत आवश्यकता है| मुझे ऐसा प्रतीत होता है कि पाइपलाइन की नियमित फ्लशिंग और आवश्यक प्रक्रिया के नियमित रूप से न होने पर पानी पूरे समय साफ़ नहीं आता है|
                                      6. आपसे अनुरोध है कि मुझे जानकारी दें कि जल बोर्ड के कर्मचारी क्या प्रक्रियाओं को करते हैं जिससे मैं जूनियर इंजिनियर और असिस्टेंट इंजिनियर से उन प्रक्रियाओं को करवाए जाने के लिए अनुरोध कर सकूं|
                                      7. मेरा फ्लैट सेकंड फ्लोर पर है| ग्राउंड फ्लोर पर सीवर के पास जो GT है, उसके पास पानी भरा रहता है, जिसकी नियमित सफाई होनी चाहिए| 1916 पर कंप्लेंट लिखाई थी, परन्तु GT की नियमित सफाई नहीं होती है| कृपया GT की नियमित सफाई के आदेश देने की कृपा करें जिससे हमें शुद्ध जल की आपूर्ति पूरे समय प्राप्त हो|

                                        Dear sir,

                                        SUB: POOR WATER SUPPLY TO P&T QUARTERS, DEV NAGAR, KAROL BAGH

                                        This is to bring to your notice that P & T Colony, Dev Nagar, Karol Bagh do not get adequate water supply for the last 2 months. Water is supplied for hardly 20 Minutes with bare minimum pressure that too sometimes mixed with sewage water or dirty water which is not at all worth potable.

                                        At this juncture I received a bill for Rs.310/- (consumption charge Rs..4/- sewage charge Rs.2/- Service tax Rs.304/-) for the period May to July 2016. I do not understand the percentage of service tax at which the bill was raised. When we do not get adequate water supply, the bill raised seems to be arbitrary.

                                        Hence I request that my bill may please be corrected and improve the water supply to residents of P & T Colony, Dev Nagar, Karol Bagh with immediate effect.
