Delhi Jal Board — Leakage of mains water line

The main water supply line in the lane between House No. D 10 and D 11 Vivek Vihar Phase I,Delhi 110095 is leaking. The leakage is under the guava tree along the boundary of D10 house.
The leakage is becoming heavier each day and it leaks in morning and evening when the fresh water supply comes.
DJB is requested to please attend to it asap.

Jal board — Irregular water supply

I want to bring in kind notice that in Akanksha Abhakand -3 Indirapuram. Water supply is not proper and there schedule is irregular.
The morning timing for water supply is 8.Am to 8.45 AM (only 45 minute) and evening there is no timing.
In case you are living alone then only Saturday and Sunday you can fill water in your tank otherwise you can not reaches office in time.
Beside it every day you will not get water supply.

Re : Complaint against irregular and insufficient drinking water supply

In every sphere of our life, Water is important and we cannot even think to survive without it.

Keeping the above universal truth in mind, we, the residents of J4/92 to J4/97 Khirki Extension, Malviya Nagar are in the bottleneck of the above problem and in lurch for the last three months facing unprecedented water crisis loomed in the Areas, and thus the inhabitants have been grappling with acute shortage of water. The situation has now become so acute and worst that water is not available even for drinking. Cooking has also become impracticable at this stage for us living in this well-populated area.
We, the residents of this area also allege that the water meant for us are being sold to small industries, which is causing water shortage as well. Also we accuse that tube-well operators of this disaster, as in our view, water is supplied to only those streets where VIPs live.
We have been complaining of water crisis/shortage for a long time and submitted numerous applications to the authorities concerned, but no step has been taken so far to solve the crisis/problem so far.
We, the residents of this sector also alleged that due to poor and negligence of the civil authorities, most of the houses are not getting water supply on time and the entire areas are facing enormous troubles due to shortage of water, while scorching heat is adding to our miseries.
Expressing anger in view of above worsening situation and circumstances, we once again submit our request and memorandums to you to kindly look into the gravity of the situation and sort out the dire condition and problem of the residents forthwith, which has left us thirsty for a long while.

According to time slab of water supply of our locality, water timing is form 5:00am to 3:00pm. But from last two month timing of water supply is from 3:00am to 5:00am after midnight.And most of time water does not come.And our whole locality is suffering from this problem.People have to awake in the night for filling the water.Sir due to this problem people has started fighting for filling the water.And from last week situation has become worst.People are buying water from others.And nobody is caring about this.We have complaint against it in various department but no action has taken.

Subject: regarding no supply of water.
I applicant Raza Ahmed s/o Habibur Rehman, in chauhan banger street no 10 and attach streets water is not coming. And if water would come then it does not have any time neither in the morning nor in evening. And if it did come then it comes for a very less time period and it comes stop motion as well, for this we cannot take even drinking water. And we talk to officers on telephone and face to face but they give only assurance to us, but they don’t correct the water supply. And on 28 july 2012, we have given complaint regarding not supplying of water to Delhi Jal Board. Now from approximately 10 to 12 days, again the problem of not coming of water becomes as it is. It seems that due to doing complaints, officers is getting irritate, so they are getting irritates us as well intentionally and don’t correct water. Area’s people are forced to drink underground water. For this any disease may spread. If it spread then the department will be responsible. We are forced to do complaint again.
Kindly correct the water supply urgently. We would be very thankful to you.

Dear Sirs,

There is no water supply in the EG Block of Inderpuri. The residents living at the tail end of the street specially from H. No. 44 to 49 are the worst affected as they have not received a single drop of water for the last one month. The main waterline terminates there and the water do not reach upto that place and the residents living in the front row get most of the water by using heavy water suction pumps. In spite of repeated efforts/complaints. there is no respite from this situation. Will the authorities look into the matter and save us from this miserable situation?

We regret to say that inspite of the complaint lodged earlier, the action taken by Delhi Jal Board is a big Zero. The problem of No water supply in some houses of A-2 Block Janak Puri, New Delhi. I received the following e-mail :

Dear Raman Sachdeva Your Complaint for Water Not Available is Resolved. Sorry for your Inconvenience. Your complaint Id is W00000608We have recieved the information from DJF staff that AS PER TELEPHONIC CONVERSATION WITH APPLICANT, WATER IS COMING IN ALL BLOCKS EXCEPT HIS RESIDENTIONAL ROW ONLY. AND HE REFUSED TO TAKE WATER FROM WATER TANKER. IT WAS A GENERAL SHORT SUPPLY.

Is water tanker a solution to the problem? Secondly, the Water Tanker is not going to fill the over head tanks. Also, when water is available in the Block why no water supply to only few houses.

The complaint is falling on deaf ears. This is the reason why people come down to road blockages only to draw the attention of concerned authorities. But being responsible citizens we can't do such things. But there should be some permanent solution to this problem. I further want to convey to the concerned authorities that collectively we the residents of A-2 Block Janak Puri will get the pipe lines checked privately and the expenses incurred on this project shall be deducted from the yearly House Tax being paid by us.

Once again I request the authorities concerned to look into the matter and take a speedy action.

I am resident of H. No RZ-7D (809), Street No 5 (Five) and presently serving in Armed Forces in far flung area. My all family member are residing in the house. From some last few days their was a short supply of water. This problem arise again and again during the summer session. The water supply of disturbed since laying of new water pipe line. In the half of street the supply of water is quite good, but in half portion of the street was kept dryed. May I request you to please look into the matter to solve this problem.

No Water supply at Vasant Kunj Area

Is there anybody in Delhi Jal Board, who can do something to maintain a undistrupted, equal distribution of water to each and every citizen of Delhi? Can he take immediate preventive action against illegal water connections to streamline the water supplies in each and every area? Do something atleast proper water supply system so that the atleast the available water shall reach to each and every citizen.


Please, do something No water since last 5-6 Months.

SOME ARE USING WATER FOR COMMERCIAL PURPOSES AND SOME ARE NOT ABLE TO TAKE WATER FOR DRINKING. SO PLEASE IMMEDIATELY DEPUTE YOUR OFFICIALS FOR CHECKING SO THAT THERE SHOULD BE NO DISCRIMINATION WITH THE PEOPLE ATLEAST IN THE DISTRIBUTION OF WATER. Dear Sir/Madam,

I am a fully frustrated resident of Durga Vihar, Devli. There are total 5 Water Pumps installed in our colony, but unfortunately only one of them is working. as there is lot of water consumption in the area so the single pump is not enough. the water is supplied only to a few houses by that single pump. In my home n neighbourhood there is no drop of water since last 4 days. Lot of time we try to lodge a complaint and try to call to DJB's official but they have an STANDARD auto-generated anser that "What we can do". I think this type of answer can't expect from a Govt authority who is completely responsible for the Water distribution in a state.



One the other hand their are lot of Private Water Suppliers who have there own ill-legal bore-well connections for water supply. Now they are charging Rs. 800/tanker. If an average man will pay Rs 800 only for water then how he will manage other necessary things to live.



As you may also be aware about the HOT weather, can you think a day without water...



Please take up this matter on TOP Priority basis and please help the public to come out of this drastic situation.

There is no water supply in D Block Street no 17 of Dashrathpuri for the last 40 days. In spite of repeated complaints to Delhi Jal Board/Delhi Jal Board no action has been taken to restore the water supply. Every one has to depend on Water Tankers...till how long? Is there any way to come out of this miserable situation? When will the Delhi Jal Board authorities come forward for the rescue of the residents specially who are living on the tail end of the street. The residents living in the from block having high powered suction pumps get all the water leaving not a single drop for the tailenders also some house have taken illegal water conection from the main line? Will the DJB authorities wake up and take action against these persons so that other too get some water to live a normal life? how can old people more than 65 yrs of gae can manage to get water from tanker.

मैं महरौली के वार्ड नंबर सात में रहती हूं। मेरा प्रोपर्टी नंबर 1067- E में रहती हूं। हमारी गली में औसतन पंद्रह दिन पानी नहीं आता। यदि पानी छोड़ा भी जाता है, तो नीचे के कई घरों तक जिसमें हमारा भी घर शामिल है, पानी नहीं पहुंचता। और यदि हम कंप्‍लेंट करके पानी का टैंकर भी मंगवाते हैं तो एक तो वहां कई कई घंटे हमें खड़े रखा जाता है और उसके बाद भी बिना पैसा लिए निशुल्‍क पानी का टैंकर नहीं दिया जाता। और उसमें भी कई दिन लग जाते हैं।
हमारा आपसे निवेदन है कि इस ओर यथा संभव ध्‍यान दिया जाए।

Delhi Jal Board — no water supply

I am resident of shora kothi pahar Ganj in delhi. i am very sorry to say you it has been almost one month there is no water suupy in pahar ganj area specaly in shora kothi area...sometimmes water comes very dirty and smelly...we are in shotrtage of drinking water ... we are in pathetic condition ...for god sake plaese do something...we are bound to go to chief monister for our basic neccessities... please look in to the matter and take necessary action...

It is about 2 months water supply to a set of apartments nos.,[protected] in Block B-2, Vasant Kunj is highly inadequate. DJB to attend to the defect so occurred in their pipeline/valve system monitoring our water supply.

It is humbly bring into your kind notice the great deal of
inconveniences being encountered by the residents of three streets of EE Block
Jahangir Puri bearing the house numbers from 2600 to 2800. Though the water
supply is being supplied in entire colony including all the neighboring streets, but
only these streets suffers a lot as water is not supplied . The problem persists for
last two and half years. .

But it two weeks over but not even a drop of water come
out form the taps . Complaints in this regard have been lodged frequently but no
concrete action has been taken so far. The residents are running from pillar to
post but to no avail. In fact, they are being provided phone numbers one after
another, making calls from which proved no help. The Junior concerned do not
bother to visit the site. The residents that the problem is being caused
deliberately.

It is, therefore, requested to look into the matter and take
immediate action on order to get us rid of this problem

In our area we are facing many problem with Water Supply.we are doing duly payment of BMC water suppply bills but then also not getting water if we gets some water for 30 minutes that also very dirt smelled & dirt water.

We had launched many complaints with BMC office at Malad(west), But they are not interested in the same, They also checked the Pipe line connection that we are not getting water but then also no any solution has been given.

again this is a big issue of no water supply in the pocket F GTB Enclave Dilshad Garden since more than 2 weeks even no water supply for drinking purposes. I had complained so many times but never got any assurance from your side. Actually we people are at fault as we are residing at the top floor so even if there is some water supply and pressure is low it is unable to get water at the top. As the DJB has reiterated it's plan to fulfill people's demand but never met to the point. I again requested you people to do something to provide adequate water supply.

Dear Sir,

I am consumer of DJB. My addresss address is C-679, Sudershan Park, New Delhi-15. I am paying my bills regularly but from previous two or three months our water supply is zero. I made various complaints to all levels from our J.E. and area MLA but no fruitfull result come out. All are saying slope of our pipeline is imbalanced due to that water supply is abnormal. These are very old pipelines but the reasons not understood. Due to no supply a very great problem faced by us. You are requested to kindly take necessary action to sort out our problem at the earliest.

Jal board — no water supply

DDA Park Raj Nagar part-2 water pump is giving salty water, and the supply is also very-very slow. Since three days there was no supply of water. When the yamuna water supply connection will be made to this pump house.

This is in regards to the non availability of water supply at my residence since the last 8 days. We have complained to the Delhi Jal Board and the MCD and there has been no action taken, neither has the supply been restored.
We are forced to contact private water tanker suppliers who charge exhorbitant rates for water.

Please do something to help or let me have the mail IDs & contact details of the higher authorities that need to be made aware of this grave problem.

No Water Supply by Delhi Jal Board

The undersigned is a resident of B-8 Pocket of Vasant Kunj South Delhi .I have been facing acute problem of water non availability since last two months, time and again I , visited Jal Board Office near B-1 Pocket and requested the staff to note complaint , The phone lying there is out of order , so one has to walk down and register the complaint, The behavior of staff is also not good they feel reluctant to write the complaint !.Today i e 10/05/2010, when I visited the person on duty did not know how to register a water complaint ultimately I entered my details.with my own handwriting which may pl be verified,
I m a retired Senior Manager from MNC car Maker
and a Senior Citizen as well.I told Mr Verma the JE of the Area who did not respond well ! Please note it and take the corrective action.
I wish to add here that that the water pressure and amount of flow is so feeble that it does not reach my house which is at the end of pipe line .Time and again Jal Board have been requested but of no avail and end result is zero !

Dear Sirs,

This is bring to your kind attention i m resident of Pahar ganj (Chinyot Basti-Amar Puri) . We are facing huge problem of water supply in our area for last 2 months .
We are not getting water supply even single time in a day and we are arrnaging water from some other area like Arakashan road or from Motia khan.

We had faced the same problem in last summer also .We have also booked the complaint so many times in delhi jal board in our area but we didin't get any positive response from their end.

It has been observed that in our residential area, most of the houses are getting regular water supply without fail. But on the other hand some houses like A-14, A-13, A-69,A-71 is not getting water supply at all. It is once in a week, if we have chance to get water for 10-15 minutes which is not sufficient from any point of view.
During time of summer situation is getting worst now. As per our telephonic conversation, you have assured us to get rid of this problem many time. But unfortunately, situation has remain same and no step has been taken from Delhi Jal Board to improve the situation. Secatriate

I am residing in H4/31 Mahavir Enclave, Bengali Colony, New Delhi. I don't know if somebody would take an action on my plea. To give a brief background, there has been no water supply in our area for lastso many years. The issue has been raised numerous times in front of the high authority in water board but nothing fruitful has been done so far. Earlier, when issue was raised, we were told that because of the commonwealth games, digging of the roads cannot be done whereas flyover work or road repairing work didn't stop during this time so why was this lame excuse given to us. I m diabetic patient but has to carry big buckets to fetch water from one place or the other as we have no other option. Mrs. Sudeshvati chaubhan though being high officials didn't help us and have been giving us one excuse or the other all this while. I would like someone to take up this matter seriously and provide us water at the earliest. Also, strict action should be taken against these officials for making our life miserable for last six months.

Delhi Jal Board — Non Monitoring of water distribution

I am a resident of Geetanjali Park Sagar Pur. When the pipe lines for water supply were laid in our colony every thing was just perfect because Delhi Jal Board was laying the pipe lines according to their plan. But later they forgot to monitor the complete process and unauthorised pipe lines were connected in the previously laid pipe lines. This was done due to the interference of some local leaders. Now the situation is that we never get water supply as all the water is turned in the other pipe lines. I want to inform DJB that they must inquire about the laid pipe lines and ensure that we all get water properly. It is an urgent matter as water is the basic necessity and we are facing difficulties daily.

The Colony is housing more than 500 houses & Delhi Jal Board officials has no say in this concern.
The concerned department (DJB’s) apathy is very disappointing for the residents and RWA. It may be mentioned here that the water supply in pipelines in other colonies of East Of Kailash in complete flow in fact overflow but why Sant Nagar is being ignored which is one of the oldest colonies.
I therefore, request to your good office kindly look into the matter on priority basis and give the necessary instruction to Govt. of Delhi. and Delhi Jal Board, that if more laying of water pipelines in the colony is required may kindly be given priority basis and the work be executed on war-footing basis which would be a great relief to the residents who have long been facing water crisis in the Capital of India.

There is no supply In Old Rajinder Nagar area since yesterday morning. No notice was given by DJB in advance & we are totally unprepared for it.

It is not the first time that residents of Delhi are facing this problem and never any advance notice is given by DJB before disrupting water supply abruptly. DJB should restore normalcy in supply within 24 hoursat the max for which there should be some contingency plan. However nothing like that seems to be in place. How long does DJB expect us to suffer like this without water, where is the tax payers money going?

Our PMs Swacch Bharat scheme will remain only on paper - as there is no water to even clear the in our toilets.

DJB supply dirty water every day. Today on 24th April 2015 they didn't supply water in LAXMI NAGAR. We don't even have water to drink.

We come in about 30 days in big hurry. Until we fix please little sir consider getting bucket and carry water from near river for family.. You get good exercise and no so fat anymore. This is no shameful only small group unimportant people without water most very happy. Water not big importance anyway just use bucket and carry. Please little sir do no complaining here again.

I living at sangam vihar .i didn't understand that why your all department forgot us. this complain regarding water not coming and the supplier taking extra money from us . sir i am living at my place since 1995, but this water issue we are facing from the starting.sir i would like to inform you that in our area their is a government boore made by the society person three years back. but the problem is that we are not getting water properly, some time they gave water in 7 days and some time in one month and also they are taking 100 rs per month from every one to give the water .and most of the time they taking extra money in behalf of that ( moter not working, gate wall get crushed).important thing i would like to inform you that some people are making there business by selling the water in tanker.They are charging 1600 rs for 1 tanker .i would like to inform the name of the person that is chidu, bablu, and few more.
we are facing this problem for very long time .they also use to say if any one take action against him so they will make a crime.so please look into this matter.

My humble request to you that please rectify this problem as soon as posible.I am very thank full to you .

Dear sir,
I live at madangir (In H-2 block) since 19 years but from time to time the water problem is increasing day by day. We had complained many times to Delhi Jal Board office near by my colony but didn't resolve my problem. I had complained one month to the office but they solve my problem till date. Whenever I visit the office they commit to solve the problem but didn't do so. They are wandering me like a football. I got so disturb from the employees of Delhi Jal Board. So, I request you to please take an action againts DJB to solve my problem as soon as possible.
Sir I am not mentioning my name due to some security reasons

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am a reisdent of mahipalpur (South-West Delhi) since 1995. I want you to know that our colony is acing a Huge shortage of water irrespective we are paying water bill to govt. . But still then we are filling water from water tanker by the means of Bucket.
From the past 9 months we are dealing with the private water tanker by giving Rs 700 for 5000 litre twice a week. But now as our leaders have seal the bore of private water tanker by giving them a 1 month ultimatum so now they are offering a huge amount for the same, I request you to please take some action in this regard so that we can use water for basic needs.

Sir, yesterday we have contacted several private tanker but they are demanding 2400 for 10000 litre.

However i have already paid the bill till 17th of October'14...i have all the copies of bill and payment receipt for mentioned period. Our apartment is unoccupied for the last 2 years and there is hardly any water consumption.
