I am a research scholar of IIT. I am writing this complaint because of the bad experience that I had today. I was waiting for bus(R.No. 764) at Nehru Place bus stop, Then a green bus of DTC arrived (bus no 7412) at 12.59 but the driver of that bus was not having enough patience to allow passengers to board the bus. Some people could manage to enter the bus but suddenly driver closed the door, only due to luck I could keep my balance without falling on the road. Then after 2 min a blue line bus arrived at that bus stop (No. A 7954) and I was just counting the number of passengers boarded at that point, it was 42. Then for whom DTC is running buses and that too by spending tax payers money. Why DTC cant introduce incentive system for DTC buses? Also there should be some ticket examiners in between nehru place and ber sarai. Usually you can see private bus operators sitting inside DTC bus and controlling the speed of the bus. Also there should be proper timing for all buses.

THERE IS DEFINITELY SOME NEXUS BETWEEN THE PRIVATEOPERATORS AND DTC BUSES OPERATORS DUE TO WHICH PUBLIC , OFFICE GOERS HAVE TO SUFFERS. IT HAS BEEN OBSERVED THAT ON ROUTE NO 740 BETWEEN ANAND VIHAR AND UTTAM NAGAR, ON MOST OCCASSIONS DTC LOW FLOOR BUSES COMES BEHIND PRIVATE OPERATORS BUSES , AS A RESULT OF WHICH THERE ARE HEAVY RUSHES IN PRIVATE BUSES AND DTC BUSES ARE FLYING WITH LOW OCCUPANCY, LOSS TO DTC, GOVT AND HARD SUFFERINGS TO PUBLIC. IT APPEARS THERE ARE NO ONE TO CHECK AND REGLATE THE TIMINGSOF PLYING AND PUBLIC HAS TO SUFFER. IN MOST OCCASSION IT HAS ALSO BEEN OBSERVED THAT IN THE EVENING DTC LOW FLOOR BUSES CUT SHORT THEIR JOURNEY , AT DHAULA KUAN WHILE COMING FROM UTTAM NAGAR AND ASK THE PASENGERS TO VACATE THE BUSES AND IT IS SEEN THAT PRIVAE BUSES COMING FROM BEHIND IS BENEFITTED. WHO WILL REPLY TO THIS ASPECT THAT ON WHOSE AUTHORITY AND ON WHAT TERMS DTCBUS OPERATORS STOPS THEIR JOURNEY IN BETWENN NAD MAKE THE PUBLIC SUFFERS. IT IS CMPLAINEDHERE THAT TIME OFCOMMUTAION TO BE STRICTLY MONITOREDWITH NO GAPS /MISSES AND IT IS TO BE ENSURED THAT DTCBUS DRIVERS AND CONDUCTORS COMPLETE THE JOURNEY IN ALL THE ROUTE AS SPECIFIED. THERE SHOULD BE DISPLAY OF CONTACT NUMBERS OF SENIOR OFFICIALS /AUTHORITY IN THE BUSES AND IN STOPS SO THAT THIS ASPECTS OF MISBEHAVIOUR OF CONDUCORS/DRIVERS AND STOPPING OF PLYING MAY BE IMMDIATELY REPORTED FOR INITIATION OF EMEDIAL MEASURES AND PUBLIC SUFFERINGS SHOULD BE STOPPED.
AFTER ALL AND ABOVE ALL, DTC BUSES ARE PUBLIC HOLDINGS AND ITS EARNINGS AND LOSSES ARE DIRECTLY LINKED TO THE PUBLIC WELFARE AND GAINS & LOSSES TO GOVT FUNDS AND IT RELATES TO TAX PAYERS MONEY . PLEASE THIS MATTER MAY BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY. PUBLIC OF DELHI, TAX PAYERS CAN NO LONGER TOLERATE THE ARBITRARY BEHAVIOUR AND POOR SERVICESOF DTC BUSES . TIMINGS WITH ACCURACY AND PROPER STOOPAGE TO LIFT THE PASSENGERS TO BE ENSURED AND CORRUPT PRACTICES OF BENEFITTING THE PRIVATE OPERATORS AT THE COST OF PUBLICMONEY TO BE STOPPED IMMEDIATELY.

I am regular passenger of DTC bus Route no. 114 For many months in the evening time (from 7PM to 9 PM) the bus is not available, from madhuban chauk to kutubgarh. 1-2 hours daily i am waiting for DTC bus but bus is not coming.

Please let us know how many days it will take the resolve this bus proble?

Recently Low floor buses are introduced in Delhi and NCR. It is very difficult to travel in Low florr bus in case you don't get a seat and a few passengers are standibg. After taking ticket you can not reach to front door due very small space or nospace to go ahead. Driver will stop the bus only if you request him after reaching front door. Bus conductor has been made a useless fellow as he can not help in this case.
These low floor buses are having less seating and nealrly nil standing capacity. Some body from higher rank may travel in the fully loaded bus and experience the travelling. Since these buses are having very less capacity to carry the passenger, DTC will run under loss. The conductor in DTC buses are made to sit like kings. I request you to instruct the conductor to help open the doors in case passenger is not able to reach up to front door due to rush. These low floor buses are going to be proved as white elephant making huge losses in one or the other way and the poor passenger will be asked to pay for the losses. It appears that no body has taken care of the passenger load in our country before ordering such useless buses.
Hope DTC will make use of the conductor in case of rush hours or he should not take passenger when the seats are full. I request you to experience travlling in a fully loaded Low floor DTC bus and make corrective actions.

I am a daily passenger of Route NO. 492 from Nehru Place to Noida Sector - 62.
Things were going good till DTC hiked the bus fares from Rs. 10 to Rs. 15.
Ok and accepted.
But the torture began when blueline buses are no more availabe.

Now only DTC buses ply on this route and the Fare From Nehru Place to NOida sector - 62 is about Rs.30.

I thought if new buses are introduced a bit of Price Hike is acceptable.

But 3 times hike in fares is too much nand I feel like DTC is now similar to pick-pockets.

Now a person travelling to Noida on Daily basis has to shell out approx. Rs. 100 everyday that too on public tranportation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Too much.

At least Ac low floor Buses on Route NO. 492 with Fare of Rs30 can be accepted.But right now only DTC buses seen on this route are old ones.

Too Bad.

Why should we pay ore for exactly no extra feature.

Moreover, the route is so bad (Jams and all..) and it takes abut 2 hrs to reach one destination from another.

If the Fare price was hiked to about Rs.30 then atleast they could change the route through DND flyway.

I hope DTC authorities understand the problems of people like me and take some corrective actions.

They have made life so difficult and COSTLY.

We are having around 8 dogs in our raod which are making lot of noise in the midnight and people are scared to walk in the streets and especially we have small children(4) of age group 1 to 2 years and they are crying alot in the midnight when all the dogs are barking in the street. Please take this issue into consideration and try to resolve the issue as early as possible.

I am a daily passanger from Nehru Place to Noida Sector 62. till now I was completely dependent on Blueline buses for travelling in this Route.
I reqest the concerned authorities to look into the matter and get som DTC buses started on Route No.492 (Nehru Place to Noida Sector 62). This initiative will be a great Help for many passangers like me who go to Noida From South Delhi to Noida.

The daily commuters who includes principals, teachers, students of different schools and colleges, doctors and patients and other workers of Balmiki hospital (Pooth), students of Delhi Engineering College Shahbad, workers of Industrial area of Narela and Bavana, DTC drivers and conductors, who joins their early duties at respective places of work are facing great difficulty and problems due to the decision of stopping of Bus Route No. 969 of Peeragarhi Depot. which earlier used to ply from Uttam Nagar to Narela.
All the commuters were previously very happy and comfortable with this Route as the driver and conductors were very kind and helpful to the passengers.
We request you to restart Route No. 969, and provide another bus in afternoon from Narela to Uttam Nagar between 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm. We also request you to extend the Route No. 972 upto Narela which at present is only from Uttam Nagar to Bavana.
However, if it not feasible for all the buses running on 972 Route to be extended up to Narela ,we request you to at least extend the Route of 972 buses running in the morning (from Uttam Nagar 6:00-6:30 am to Narela) and in afternoon (from Narela 1:30-2:30 pm to Uttam Nagar).
We hope that by taking desired actions on our request you will make us utilize one of the Delhi’s secure, efficient, economic and reliable mode of transport.

I would like to draw your attention that on route Nos.611 & 398 there is acute shortage of service from Mayur Vihar Phase III to Dhaula Kuan, particularly in the morning hours between 6 AM and 10 AM. We have registered many complaints with DTC Helpline, but till date no action has been taken to solve this problem which is affecting the common man who has no other means of transport. This shortage has taken crippling proportion in the past four months.

The situation has gone from bad to worse in the last week. Buses coming from East Vinod Nagar Depot or elsewhere are not meant for these routes in the morning hours. On the other hand, there are plenty of buses ply on route no.211 (Phase-3 to Mori gate). We are fed up commuters who are forced to wait 1-2 hours for DTC services, and finally depend on three-wheelers and private buses to reach our offices. After increase in the bus fare it has become unviable to do the break journey as it will rob our pockets irreparably. We will end up spending Rs 25-35 instead of Rs.15 for the break journey. Now, we the public are preparing to take the matter to the media so that everybody understands the situation we are in.

The DTC Time Keeper posted at the bus stand in Mayur Vihar Phase III is on leave most of the days. When available he is most uncooperative and not even willing to listen genuine hardship faced by poor commuters of the area.

It is our, Mayur Vihar phase-3 resident’s, earnest request to you to kindly look into the matter personally and do the needful and get us sufficient buses in these routes at least in the morning hours (6 am to 10 am) for the service class.

I have come to know that your dipartment wants to increase the fare of buses. I want some crearification for you regarding following issues.



1. If STA permit bueses earn money with this fare then why are you not capable.

2. If you think that you are not capable to earn money with this fare then why not you surrender before the private operators.
3. Government declare the sixth pay commission for his employee what's about the private employees or un-employeed.
4. If someone get Rs. 3000/- Salary P.M. what would the goverment take measures for that. He will travel without ticket or set fire the DTC buses, Because DTC has arise the issue of increase the fare.



How can we survive in delhi do you think about that. your drivers not try to increase you income and i am daily reported this issue to you. They are currupted and Work with STA buses. If they want to run STA buses then run only STA buses.

It is informed that in the absence of particular Bus Nos whose
drivers found, operating their buses behind the private buses and not
stopping their buses on the major stands, action cannot be taken.
Hence you are requested to kindly send the full particulars i.e. bus
No, Route No. ,time, place etc. so that action could be taken against
the erring drivers.

In the meantime, concerned Unit Officer is being requested to
instruct the drivers performing their duties on route No. 34 to
operate their buses timely, not to run behind the private buses and to
pick up and drop the passengers on all the prescribed bus stops to
avoid any inconvenience to the commuters. Converned Checking Officer
has also been requested to depute checking officals to check the
irregularity of the drivers performing their duty on route No. 34.

The inconvenience experienced on this account by our valued

Hi All,

I want to notice you people to the hike in DTC Fair. As per out transport minister DTC is going in lose. But I want to ask them have they find the reason behind that. I dont think so they try to find it is very easy to say that DTC is going in loss and make hike in the Bus Fair because they not travelling in these buses specially in DTC. The blue line bus operator who has started his bussiness with a single bus he has more then three in now days but DTC is in loss. I was reading in NBT of 27 oct that the total running average of DTC was 226 km but now days they are running only 171 km. Is this the fault of public way are you punishing the people else punishing you managment, drivers and other. On the peak hours like Morning & Evening the DTC is not there only blueline buses are plying. The DTC driver not stoped the buses on every stand because he has to complete his round as soon as possible. Thay almost show the bus breakdown on the way no backup for them on the spot but the blue line has full backup. I think that we should start some new bus point and routes but it seems that the old bus route are not running properly like 262, 270,271 Etc. In some routes there are only Blue line, Charted Buses, RTVs, Phatphat sewa & Auto are available there is not DTC at all some. I have Lots of idea for improving the DTC perfomance. It is not complaint, actually it is enquiry. I want to know if DTC operate any Limited Stop Bus Service or Special Bus Service From Ashok Vihar, Delhi to Nehru Place, Delhi during office hours. As i am daily travel with dtc bus from dwarka mor metro stn. to saibaba mandir,najafgarh.today about 6:00PM conductor of bus no. 2L1P-B2721 abusing me in such a way that i cant mention the words here. he is also show me one stick and warn me to beat.i purchased ticket no. 90883 of amount RS 5.00.I am metro employee,and our company provide best customer deal to everybody, so i am not habituated about such humiliation.this behavior of showing stick hurt me lot, every passenger supports me, otherwise what happen ,i don't know? In this way delhi welcomes commonwealth games??

I would like to bring your kind attention on the problem being faced by resident and visitors of Amogh and adjacent building and adjoining locality. Sir there are about 7 street dogs in this vicinity, sir they bark on everybody residing nearby and every visitors, because of these dogs it has become very difficult to take step out from our houses round the clock. I have seen and faced this situation where these dogs barks on us and come closer to bite, several person have faced the same problem especially small children of the society are very scared to go out of the houses. Especially at night they just come running behind you in a group and are almost about to bite, if you do not stone the, away

So this is my humble request to you to please pay attention on my letter and send Dog catcher team immediately in this area so that we will get rid of this problem soon.

I want to lodge a complaint against a bus conductor of DTC bus number DL1P B0323 running between
Gurgaon and Delhi . This incidence occured on 28th August 2009 at 6:05 PM at BATA / MDI / SUKHRALI chowk. I boarded this bus at this point and asked for the ticket of Shankar chowk from bus conductor. He gave me the tickets reluctantly and asked me why I didn't board the earlier bus. It was as if he had some problem giving away the tickets. I asked him why u are asking this, don't u want to give the tickets. He replied yes I have a problem. I told him if this is the case then I will have to lodge complaint against him . He told me to do whatever I could do and he didn't care. So here I am lodging this complaint against him. I do hope some appropiate action is taken against him . This is necessary for his attitude to change.

Route no. 375(Dilshad Garden-Nehru Place) connects Dilshad Garden to important commercial/governmet offices/colleges in the city the areas Laxmi Nagar, ITO, Supreme Court, Patiala House, Shajahan Road, Khan Market, Dayal Singh College, JLN Stadium, Kotla Mubarakpur/SouthExtn, Andrews Ganj, LSR College. Blue Line and DTC buses combined together are supposed to run at 8minutes freuqency in peak hours. The route is to be catered by 6 DTC buses(doing 24trips eitherside) and 19 Bluelines.
Before January, 2005
The situation was relatively satisfactory till 2005 January. The DTC buses has disappeared totally from this route from Jan, 2005 (the route till then operated by Hasanpur depot was transfered to Seemapuri depot in Jn, 2005).

Present Situation

The situation has been worsened by the Govt policy of removing old Bluelines. At present out of 19 bluelines only 10 Blue lines(DL 1PA-7707, DL- 1PA7819, DL 1PA 7943, DL1PB-114, DL1PB-116, DL1PB-761, DL1PB-825, DL1PB-1954 DL1PB-3728 and DL1PB-5265) are running in this route. Of this except for 3 Blue Lines(DL 1PA-7707, DL- 1PA7819 & DL 1PA 7943), all others are bunking one trip from either side there by reducing the availability of buses in this route. The DTC which should be running 24 trips in either direction is just running one trip in the morning towards NehruPlace(which is also not regular).

In the morning peak hours(7.30-10.00) the situation is pathetic. The timing of Blue Line buses between 7.30 to 10.00 from Dilshad Garden are at 7.50, 8.06, 8.22, 8.30, 8.46 and 9.18. But few operators are so erratic that you can't depend on them. Eg the 8.22 bus(DL1PB-761) goes early at 8.15, 8.46(DL1PB-5265) at their convenience from 8.35 to8.50) and the 9.18 bus(DL1PB-1954) which is the last bus in the peak hour goes at 8.55. On few days a DTC bus(irregular service) runs at 9.10.If it is not available no buses are available for more than an hour. The situation is far more grim in the evening peak time(17.30-20.00). Only 5 trips of Bluelines available from Nehru Place side between 17.30 1nd 20.00hrs). DTC does not even run one trip for name sake. Between 20.00hrs and 22.20(suppose to be time of last bus from Nehru place) there are only 2 trips.

Solution to the problem
The Blue Lines should be instructed to strictly follow their time-table and complete all the trips.
The Delhi Transport Corporation should be instructed to run all the trips allotted to it at least in the morning and evening peak hours.Additionally DTC should be given permit to run buses in route no.375, in place of 9 Blue Lines which are removed due to government actions. There are three DTC depots(Dilshad Garden, Seemapuri & Nand Nagari) within 3km from Dilshad Garden terminal and another three DTC depots(Srinivas puri, Sukhdev Vihar and Kalkaji) with in 3Km from Nehru Place Terml. DTC may utilise buses in these depots to run services on route no.375 with a minumum decent frequency to alleviate the hardship faced by thousands of residents (including students, govt/private employees, senior citizens) of Dilshad Garden and adjoining areas depending on route no. 375 .

Non availbility of buses
Bus Route no-569/568
I am sending many emails to you but not result i so tried.
I am regular passenger of DTC bus route no. 569/568 every day morning & evening like me many passengers wait for DTC bus 1-2 hours every day.In the Morning Sultanpuri Puri Bus terminal bus route no. 569 bus not come regularly (7Am to 8Am ) bus not coming. This is the only DTC Bus which runs on this route this bus has stopped running, for what reasons I don, t know. There are so many students and other people who have to go daily Sultanpuri to South Delhi for study or to work. All are suffering very much in the absence of this bus. The other alternative is bus route no-569, which are almost all private buses and it is too difficult to board on this bus as it is too crowded & misbehave.

Therefore with folded hands you are requested to take a quick action on this problem because public is suffering very much. Bus route no-569/568 in the morning & evening may please be started again immediately.

THE BLUELINE MAFIA WILL NOT LET THE DTC PLY.

TEXT OF THE ADDITIONAL PIL TO FILED IN THE SUPREME COURT.

With reference to your directive to DTC to augment it's fleet, via a Judicial Directive..I have this to say.

I request you to kindly take cognisance of the fact that there are many vested interests who will see to it that the blue line buses are not phased out. I as a citizen am witness to the strong arm mafia tactics employed by the blue line operators to prevent the DTC buses plying on time and see to it that they always lag a DTC bus.

In the photo below a blueline driver is seen threatening DTC bus driver over picking up more passengers.

Also the conditions of the buses are pathetic with rickety seats and dirty seat covers, loud blaring music from substandard audio products
and the feel of sitting in a truck.Not one effort has been made to see whether the neatness element has been adhered to . All these years the citizens have been made to RIDE ON TRUCKSs in the name of public transport.
The Govt. owes the people an explanation or else the courts will issue
strictures.

I suggest a court commitee travel incognito in a blueline to take get a firsthand feeling and then issue contempt notices to the Govt. for letting the STA give permits to these buses. Ask why the STA should not be wound up.

I hence request you to kindly to kindly set a time table for the eventual phaseout of these buses (preferable within a year), as a continuation of them, even a bit longer will strengthen the vested interests. REMEMBER that even if the DTC procures 5000 buses, only 500 will be able to run as the BLUE line mafia will ensure that they run in such a away that people will be forced to board the blue line buses as the corruption and mismanagement in DTC is well known.SO PLEASE ISSUE a DIRECTIVE to the TRANSPORT DEPT. thet these buses should be phased out in about a year. The Govt. will be able to find a solution as 2008 being a election year they will not let the citizens suffer.

THe Govt. will have the necesary will to find a solution and will invite reputed Corporates to run buses without any vested interests .

Another point I would like to stess on is the control of the Blueline mafia on the plying of DTC buses. I dont know the exact extent of the nexus between the blueline mafia and the DTC depot personnel...but it is a well known fact that some senior personnel of the DTC run their own Blueline buses.

Proof of this which was captured on my cell phone camera when DTC buses were caught purposely plying behind Blueline buses on the same route.Some drivers and conductors do this for as little as a cold drink.I dont know the exact strength of the fleet on road, but for all practical purposes DTC has stopped running after 5 P.M as they are perpetually short of drivers who are mostly on contract basis.

And lastly, one more point which was not stressed in the PIL filed against Blueline buses is that they overspeed everywhere because in some bus stops where there are no traffic policemen they wait inordinately long idling away in the hope of picking up more passengers. hence to make up for the time spent on idling, , , they speed up on the route so that the bus scheduled after this one does not overlap and both drivers end up fighting with each other.

In this process of overspeeding, which they SIMPLY CANNOT AVOID, whatever the checks on roads and hence they end up killing people.

This makes it all the more imperitive for the eventual phaseout of these BLUELINE buses by 2009 and not by 2012 as suggested by thr Govt.

I m coming back to my house in karam pura from wazirpur depot. I board the bus no 187. time between 1 to 2 and around 1:30 pm. the bus driver say at karam pura station that if any passenger won't tell him he will not the bus at any stand whether passengers are waiting for bus at stand or not. When i say that its the duty of the driver to stop the bus at any stand whether there are passenger or not inside or outside the stand, he starts misbehaving with me and he even used abusive language.
I cant remember the bus number.

According to me, due to these few cheap workers of DTC, DTC is in loss because they just want to win the race which they will do with the private bus driver.

Private bus service is far better than DTC.

DTC consists of old age drivers and conductors who cant react to any situation due to there age factor and DTC' s workers are "Passengers ke tukdo par palne waale kutte".
