Digital India Deal — offering fraud prizes | |||||
It was sunday when i recieved a call from the digital india deal that you have a chance to be the lucky winner, if you buy the product of 500. So i purchased one watch online from the digital india deal.com at rs.650, which they delivered to me. The issue is then after few days, they again called me, saying that you have got the laptop as a prize of rs, 72999. But you have to pay the service tax of rs 6500, for bringing your prize from delhi to mumbai, so i paid that amount through jdpay on 21/08/2017. Merchant id - bpa1y1j9. Payumoney id[protected]. After paying that amount they did not stop here, they again called me after few days, saying now to pay the shipping and insurance charges which was 11000 rupees. Merchant order id : bpg7n6k7 Merchant name : www.justdial.com Payumoney payment id : [protected] After paying my total amount of 17, 500 rupees, when time came of delivering the prize, they told that your prize has been damaged in shipping and now we will pay your paid money+your prize money in installments. So, now they asked for my bank details. After providing my bank details, they are now telling me to keep minimum 18% of bank balance, which bank is also not saying to keep 18% minimum. I request you to accept my complaint in which i have not got my total money of 17, 500 rupees + my bank details. I also request you to take some strict actions, as this is the big fraud and many more consumers can be the victims of this fraud or scam. After so many Request and continue followup with the customer care team via mail they refund my monay as part payment of ₹ 5600/- but still wait my remaining part of amount ₹ 10000/- which i need refund as soon as possible.

Same case with me, , , They have asked me to pay only the GST of the Dell laptop which I have reportedly won as a prize, , , after this they told that many customers are not happy with the shipping process as they have received damaged prizes, so they asked me to pay the shipping charge and the insurance for the prize which is 12500, so in total I have paid 18500, after taking this amount they stopped calling me, even If I call them they are irresponsibly saying that we will check and call you back, this is now happening for more than 1 week.
My issue is regarding Digital India Deal, they owe me more than 2 lacs...and i have each and every transaction detail...it all started from winning a televison and the first call i received was in July 2017. I sold my DSLR just to pay for the 45000 taxes.
And every time I receive a call they'll ask for money only...worst decision of my entire life.

Similar call with a prize of Dell laptop came to me today. A little research led me to your comments. Thank you all for your posting your experiences which will prevent a lot of similar frauds by them in future.
Old me that i am winner of prize laptop.
Than asked me to deposit 6524/- as gst.
Than asked me to deposit 12000/- as courier & insurance charge of fedex.
Also said this 18524 i paid will be revert as product by company.
Than suddenly the products are damaged at courier service as they said.
So they said i am now given prize as a money in bank account of 114000. Which come in 3 installments of 38000.
For that i need to pay 18478/- as a security deposit.
So total till today i paid 35978/-
Neither i got any installment of 38000 nor i get any product for that 17500 & even not of security amount of 18478/-.
They are totally cheaters.
I have all transaction details & telephonic recordings..

They offer me against my money 15600, some electronic goods but I refused accept the offer from them
so don't worry I will be with you.
If you taken any legal steps so I also taking legal steps with you.
If they offer a prize so don't worry consumer forum had a decision they have to pay you, your gift.
