    HI I have purchased Dish Tru HD+ by looking at 30+ HD channels, 5 times better picture quality, 5.1 audio, prompt customer service and 4gb memory card for online purchase. Since the day I have purchased it is found that the quality is too worse than a local cable tv on most of the channels. Also out of 30+ HD Channel promise, only few are real HD. All other channels are non HD and they claim it is upscaled. I have called and emailed several times but they are not ready to listen. Finally they came back saying that my tv has problem. Not sure what to do. Dish TV has really cheated me with wrong assumptions. I lost 2200 + money in this. Thanks!
    Dear Mr.Srinivasarma,

    I am using the DISH TV TRU HD ROYALE PACK for the past one & half year and find no problem. I am using a SAMSUNG 42 INCH TV and watching in that type of TV with HDMI card, you will really love the HD and all channels. The recharge amount is Rs.550/- but worth seeing & now all channels are recordable which is not available with all TV service providers.

    For example see channel 82 for SONY MAX T-20 matches and also Travel XP in Channel 45 you will really excited.

    Please change your TV to compatabile HDMI port like SONY or SAMSUNG and you will really love all channels telecast through DISHTV platform.

        Dish TV should always be avoided. Their tall claims are not to be given ear to. Every customer has to wait minutes long for someone to respond. Rather than claiming to be number one and giving Sharukh Khan all the money for advertisement, they should give focus to improving services. Neither digital signals are good enough nor is their customer support helpful. Bunch of fool people. Tired of mailing them about my login problems but none of the dishtv stupid people are ready to listen to. DishTV will soon slump down in the market and will be taken over Airtel and others. DishTV sucks. Avoid DishTV.

          I have booked DISH TV online on 4th April 2012, still do not received. I have paid them through my credit card.Please assist me on the same.

          Now do not want to go ahead with them.

          Dish TV — Dish TV New Connection

          I had booked a new connection on 27th Nov and I was promised that I will get a new connection within 24 hrs(MAIL I). The guys came on a week after on 4th Dec for installation and said I will have to pay 300 Rs extra(apart from Rs 221 installation) even though cabling was less than 15 mts.

          When I refused the guys left and I logded a complaint against the dealer with customer care.
          Customer care promised that they will do the installation next day on 6th Dec(MAIL II). Its 9th Dec these guys are neither provinding the new connection nor returning the amount I paid for new connection.

          I called them so many times but everytime all I get is false promises.
          I want my money back - what should I do pls guide.

          charges of 221 Rs.
          I dont have any alternate number, if you are calling from outside bangalore add
          "0" before the number.

          If you cant refund I regret I will have to move to consumer court with no
          alternative left.

            mobile dish tv — No picture

            I am a senior citizen of 65 Years of age. During my long path of service I have never seen such types of worst & poor services to the customer given by the manufacturer.

            After lodging my complainton 09/06/11, I have been informed that the complaint will be solved by 3-4 hrs, but the maximum limit will not cross 24 hrs.

            But till now ie 23.15 hrs.on 11/06/11, the complaint has not been solved. Atleast 100 times I telephone to Dish TV customer care, but everytimes they have given false commitments.

            Then, somehow, I have managed to get the service centre contact no.[protected] & [protected].

            Last three days they have given all false commitment all the time that the problem will be solved within an hour.

            After knowing my mobile no. by the service centre, they reluctant to receive my call. They didn’t receive my telephone call.

            I would say to all my friends not to buy Dish TV due to their Worst & poor bluffing services to the customer.



            So, after promising in business ads.that the complaint will be solved within 24 Hrs. time maximum, Dish TV are not fulfilling their commitment to the customer& even not bothered..

            Secondly after paying for the whole period viewing commitment, denied us by Dish TV irresponsible services.

            I going to lodge my complaint regarding after sales services to w.w.w. consumercourt.in
            Actually my Previous bill due date is 17/6/2011I have recharged my dish tv connection on 7/6/2011 for Rs 500/- and I received the SMS for the Next recharge date and acknowledgement of the success full recharge. Next recharge date is 12/09/2011. But the Signal is not coming it is showing the blank screen, with Recharge to get the continuous Access fron 14.6.2011. Kindly solve this issue to get unintrupted services.

              On 26th March,2012 I was told by DISH TV helpline that my VC needs to be re-charged from 1st April,2012. They also confirmed that my existing pack was Platinum Pack for Rs 350pm.

              I renewed online for 4 months on 26th March by paying Rs 1400 for 4 months . However, when I recieved the sms confirmation from DISH TV -it said that my renewal was done till 16th July.

              When I enquired from your helpline, I was told that I was subscribed under Super Platinum Pack and not Platinum Pack, and that DISHTV has unilaterally changed me to Super Platinum Pack on October 2011(which did not include Star Sports bouquet). Since then, DISTV has been charging me Rs 40 extra for the STAR TV bouquet.

              I clarified that I have ALWAYS been a subscriber of Platinum Pack, and DISH TV cannot change my Pack from Platinum Pack to Super Platinum WITHOUT TAKING MY WRITTEN CONSENT AND CONFIRMATION, and charge me extra for channels that were INCLUDED in the Platinum Pack opted by me (on and before 26th March 2012). The Platinum Pack was also clearly available as an OPTION on your website on 26th March 2012, and it included the Star Sports bouquet in the Platinum Pack details mentioned in your website. I have a screen shot of the related website page dated 26th March 2012 of the same available with me.

              I have spoken to 4 different officials of DISH TV on 26th March, but NONE of them could clarify HOW a change from an existing PLATINUM PACK was made UNILATERALLY by DISH TV to another Super Platinum Pack. No written consent was taken by DISH TV beforeeffecting this chage. They advised me to write a complaint.

              HOW, WHEN and WHY was my originally subscribed Platinum Pack (that included Star Sports) CHANGED to Super Platinum (which does NOT include Star Sports). Dish TV DID NOT inform me about the implications of the arbitrary change at that time and its content?

              Why was my subscribed Pack (PLATINUM) changed without taking my consent or even any information? Is it an ethical practice?

                  WAKE UP Dear Dish TV - Am a Platinum Package holder from 15th February 2011, SAF NO on the Dish TV Subscriber copy is 0132090 - STB # 1001ABR38D503966 - Registered as Russel Baptista ([protected]). For the past 18 days - been having severe issues with the Set Top Box - which we have complained against many times. Technician comes after 4 days of the call - that too without informing inspite of specifically informing that Technician must call us before arriving home.
                  Issue is that the TV hangs / freezes every 2 to 3 hours - sometimes (even 4 times in 1 hour) which means the entire system & the Main power needs to be shut down & rebooted. Inspite of this consistent issue the Technician coming is not aware of how to diagnose the problem & thus not resolving the problem properly. We are told that there is a problem with the Set TOP box which needs replacement - since the warranty expires in Feb - we need to pay for Rs. 1800 for the new Set Top box. We helplessly agree so the Technician came yesterday with the supposedly " New" Set top box which was not new - attached the same. Mentioned that the old Settop box needs to be taken back. If the Consumer pays Rs. 1800 for a new Settop box - why shud the old setop box be taken back...Customer Support telephonically informs Process says so...After paying the Rs, 1800 - no refund of the old box is given, the old box is also taken back & the Warranty for the supposedly new box is only 3 months. If the Consumer is paying the complete Rs. 1800 for a new box - he should recieve a new box not a repaired old box of another client. Customer support is patheticly answering the queries saying the process says so. Processes are made to suit the company & the client too. In this case the process is made only to suit the Company. So DISH TV gets the OLD SET UP BOX, PROVIDES AN OLD REPAIRED SET TOP BOX FOR THE PRICE OF A BRAND NEW ONE(RS. 1800), WARRANTY FOR THE SUPPOSEDLY NEW BOX IS 3 MONTHS ONLY...........Consumer gets what - NOTHING BESIDES ARROGANT, ILL - INFORMED CUSTOMER SUPPORT WHO ACTUALLY DOES NOT SUPPORT THE CUSTOMER AT ALL - SO DOES NOT EVEN DESERVE THE NAME " Customer Support" - DISH TV should be called more CUSTOMER LOOTING SUPPORT.

                  DISH TV PLS WAKE UP BEFORE YOU LOOSE ALL YOUR CUSTOMERS TO TATA SKY....& COMPETITION.............DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS COMPLAINT FAST

                      Sir/Madam, i hav purchased Dish tv Tru HD on 22nd March and they have promised in their advertisement that it will be installed in 24 hr, on passing 24 hr i booked my complain via Email and at customer care and was asked to wait for next 24 hrs, and by then the installation will be done, after 24hrs again i ranged at customer care center and they said the same and will talk to the franchise but nothing happened and then i received the mail stating to wait for next 24 to 48 hrs to resolve the problem. i again waited thinking that they are working on my issue but on 26th when i ranged the problem was same they have not even spoken to franchisee and told me to wait for next 24 hrs, on 27 i ranged at franchisee again and they said that they dont have the Hardware and to wait till 31st March, i spoke to customer care to arrange for alternative franchisee they said to wait till 7 pm in evening to get back to me with updates but at 7 i dint got any call and when i called them they are asking me to wait for next 24 hrs before the they can get back to me.
                      I am frustrated with their unprofessional way of handling the problem and continuous harassment by their non responsive behavior, I am thinking of filling my case against Dishtv for the same in cunsumer court please haelp me how can i do the same

                      i bought a new dish tv digital set top box on dated 15 july(11.30AM) from yr dealer(kuldeep, ticona park, jamia nagar new delhi).but yet not installed my dish tv.if supose u r taken action against yr dealer & installation team, i will take appropriate action against dish tv A/C to Indian constitution(act) /consumer court.

                      Recently we have shifted at new location. We called customer care to install Dish TV at our new location. They gave us a complaint number and told that we will get call from technician within 24 hours. After that, 6 days flied. We missed World Cup matches. In 6 days we called to Customer care at least 20 times. Every time new new voice consoled us that within 2 hours we will get call from technician. And Every time they put our complaint for escalation to higher authority. But still we did not receive any call from technician. And suddenly they sent sms that our call has been resolved and closed. Again we called and again same way of talking..same consolation. Every day we returned back home early hoping today may be technician will come. But !!! Please do the needful ASAP.

                      I took new Samsung LCD tv on 30th of march specially to watch Ind vs pak and world cup final cricket match. With that i got recharge coupon for dish tv. We called customer care to install Dish TV at our location. They gave us a complaint number and told that we will get call from technician within 72 hours. I waited for 4 days. I missed World Cup matches. In these days we called to Customer care at least 30 times. Every time new new voice consoled us that within 2 hours we will get call from technician. And Every time they put our complaint for escalation to higher authority. But After 4 days i got call from 1 technician and they are saying that to install the setup we need 100rs extra. for Interest in final match, i agreed and requested to come.still nobody came and i missed the final match also.                         WORST DTH SERVICE PROVIDER.

                        When i bought a Panasonic LCD TV, i got a complimentary Dish TruHD Set top box. I had to pay only Rs.2400 for the set top box and the installation. So i made a deal and bought the Dish TV Tru HD set top box. Since then my experience has been horrible.
                        The day i turned on the Dish TV, i could get echo sound from the TV and the sound / voice broke in between. The set top box remote's volume control doesnt work. Increasing or decreasing the volume has no effect on the actual sound.
                        I checked my LCD TV and everything was perfect. I have another Dish TV SD Set top box with me, when i connected the SD Set top box to my LCD TV, all the problem vanished. The sound was perfect without any echo sound.
                        I called up the Dish TV customer care at Bhopal, after 3 days their service center guys came and took the set top box for repair. They didnt turn up for the next 15 days. When i called them up repeatedly, they provided me a temporary set top box and asked me to check if the same problem persists. And yes same problem persisted. But then i checked this temporary set top box, i found it was my own TruHD set top box and all the same problems happening again. The box no was same and the VC card no too!
                        The service center guy said its the problem with your LCD TV and we cannot help it because the same problem is there with 2 diff set top boxes. When i tried to convince them, they didnt listen and went away. Now its been more than 2 months but the same problem of sound echo and sound breakup is there but on repeated complaints too, Dish TV customer care gusy dont listen. Very Very Disgusting service by Dish TV. I could never imagine they could be so bad. Now all my money is lost and i have reverted to using my Dish TV SD connection at home.
                        My humble request to all the readers, please please dont buy a Dish TV connection. My cousins are using TataSky and Videocon HD services and both are superb in terms of picture quality and sound.

                        I would like all to know that we have purchased DISH TV connection on August 08 2008, However after the connection has been activated we are not receiving all the channels clearly because of poor signal strength which is generally 2 or 3 percent.

                        Everytime I try to call your constomer services number I find the line is busy and takes long time to get through.

                        I was using the ordinary cable connection before and recently become a subscriber of Dish Tv and I find it a costly affair.

                        I do not understand how do you calculate your charges and can't even see the balance of MOD and Al-carte on the TV and even with the customer services.

                        And all the more the Dish TV website is so well designed all your Complaints/ Feedbacks are not reaching them atall, and Sharuk Khan is the brand ambassador for it, ... huh what a shame.

                        I have used TATASKY elsewhere and it is very user friendly I could see and understand their system and charges. Honestly no tricky businesses.

                        I had purchased set up box for Dish TV from Kaushik Enterprises the dealer of dish TV address at S.B Bhattwadi, P.P road opposite Shree Dharshan Restaurant near old nagardas road Andheri (East) Mumbai 4000069.                         In every month we have to make complain to the Dish TV regional office A S Vision Infotech which is situated at goregaon regarding the quality of picture. and they used to send the mechanic to align the dish located on the terrace now a days the problem is severe and they are not attending our complain. We asked them to take back the Set up Box and Dish antenna and refund us the amount of RS. 3990 and they are not responding and we are covered in warranty period.

                                This is to bring your notice that info in DISHTV site is different from which they are actually providing to us. For example, I'm in South Family Pack which includes India Cricket pack (including Star Cricket). But we are not getting START CRICKET being a Australia- India match.

                                When I contacted Dishtv service via online chat, they are telling the DD national(free channel) is replacement for Star cricket for all ODI (being no where mentioned).
                                Also when I tried their service "MyChannelMyService" for Start Cricket, its saying "Dear subscriber, the channel is available in your base pack.".

                                The problem is they keep on chancing the channels available to us every 3 months without informing the consumers about the package,they take the same amount every time ,but keep changing the number of channels every time,cheat the consumer and take the consumer for granted,
                                Eg- i was getting channels like colours,bindas movies Etc with other channels in the month of June,July,august, but now when i am renewing, paying the same amount they are not giving the same package,they have removed colours bindas movies etc without any information to the consumer,consumer gets to know only after surfing all the channels.When we pay the money we never get the list of channels we are supposed to get,they keep on changing the package to their comfort,profitability and convenience.
                                They have our mail Id also they can always mail the list us.WHEN WE QUESTION THEM ABOUT THE CHANGE OF PACKAGE FOR THE SAME MONEY,THEY SAY THAT PACKage is over, now you have to pay extra to get those channels.As a consumer they have to inform us and maintain some consistancy in their service,now if we need the missing channel they ask us to pay Rs.50-60 more per month,WHY???
                                If they want charge they should have informed us or they should not have included this channels in the package.
                                Almost Every month they come up with new package and change the existing one and the consumer is taken for granted when he surfs the channels after paying the amount.The call center executive respond very roughly if we question them and always confuse the customers.
                                I am deeply disturbed by this inconsistant service of DISH TV owned by Zee Tv.
                                Please bring some regulations in this,they charge more than the cable services but offer a very Bad service to the consumer with a attitude that no one can question them.
                                I will give you the email id of dishtv customer care, just mail your concern their for quick resolution of your complaint along with your complete details like VC No, address and contact number.

                                  This is to bring to the notice of the Consumers forum of the rampant malpractices and duping of customers that Dish TV India has been indulging over the past year. I have complained about the poor services multiple times and there is either no response or scripted responses like that the problem with the DTH service will be resolved within 24 hours which till day has not come.                                   I have Dish TV connection registered under VC no. [protected]. On 6th Oct 2011. I placed an advance request to downgrade my monthly package to Family Pack (Rs 175 per month) from my existing Gold Saver Package (Rs 285/- per month) and executive told me that downgrade will happen if I make my next paymentON OR BEFORE due date. I did recharge on 10th Oct 2011, and my renewqal date was 24th Oct, 2011.

                                  Now I came to know that no downgrade happened after that. Since then they are charging me extra Rs 110 per month. I registered a compaint with them, but didn't get any satifactory result out of it.

                                  I sent an email to them, and they gave me excuse that as I make Feb 2012 payment after due date so my request was not actioned. Dont understand what Feb 2012 paymenthas to do with Oct, 2011 request. Got same reply three times.

                                  Then fourth reply came as I made payment before due date so request was not actioned. These guys have charged me extra Rs 110 for four months and now they are giving me silly excuses instead of refunding my extra amount.

                                  What should I do?

                                    This morning after using the DishTV service for around 18 months the STB stopped working. (it stays in 'boot' mode forever) It was working fine till yeasterday.
                                    After calling DishTV they immediately declared that the hardware is faulty without even helping the customer dignose the issue.
                                    Also told me that a technical person will come visit us and we will have to pay all the charges up to Rs.600 for that visit.

                                    From their behaviour it looks like as if they know that STB was going to go bad after using 18 months for sure.
                                    The hardware provided by DishTV was certainly of very poor quality.
                                    I am using Zenega D-6000 HD model.

                                    If anyone has same issues please raise the voice and let DiscTV know what consumer can do if proper customer service is not provided.

                                    Undersigned purchased dish tv on June'08 in Greater noida.But at that time hardware not issued to the undersigned and connection given through MOV (Main dish provided by DISH TV) .I have calling so many times in customer care to issue my hardware(i.e LNV+accessories) but till date no action taken and giving the regional office no of dish tv, where nobody picking the call.Pls register my complaint.

                                    I have been having signal not found 301 err frequently since installation. It is about 5 months since installation and 6 times this has happened. Including last two days. Yet to be fixed. Customer support and the whole dish tv team doing nothing about it. They never show up. Last time it took them 15 days even to show up at your doorstep. Btw I live in the heart of Chennai. After 1 month fixed it. Again after month and half same issue is repeating. WORST company. very cold people and they totally stress out the customer both mentally, time wise and financially. My bad fate got into it. Stay away completely from them.
                                    Any luck solving this? I am facing this problem now.

                                      I had purchased a new connection from Indiatimes Shopping website. I

                                      received Activation Kit with Activation Kit Serial No. S[protected].

                                      I had called the numer[protected] for installation as mentioned over

                                      envolope of the activation kit ( Please note I have not received the
                                      antenna, set top box and VC)

                                      The installation was scheduled and I got a call y'day from local dealer
                                      (
                                      Phone No. [protected]). However, he asked for 400 rs. activation charges
                                      +
                                      200 rs. installation charges whereas on the envolope only 200 rs
                                      installation charges are mentioned.

                                      I have already got another connection on my name with VC#[protected].
                                      Last
                                      time when I got the installation I had to pay only 200rs. for
                                      installation
                                      charges.

                                      I have tried calling your customer care several times since yday but
                                      there
                                      is no solution provided. I am sure the local dealer is cheating people
                                      by
                                      charging additional money.
