DishTV — Malfunctioning Dish TV setup boxes - Gets faulty in every 6 months

This is to highlight the poor quality of Dish TV products. I have 2 Dish TV connections registered with Mobile +91 [protected]. For these 2 connections, I have faced malfunctioning of Dish TV setup boxes in every 6 months. In the past 2 years, I have changed setup boxes 6-7 times for these 2 connections.

I believe that this is a devious business technique used by Dish TV to pull hard earned money from pockets of their subscribers. If you calculate the total amount I have spend on setup box replacement in last 2 years (400 + 250 for each time) it will be nearly 5, 000 INR. I would be able to buy 3 brand new Tata Sky connections in this amount.

I request Indian Consumer Complaints forum to help me raising this issue against this deceitful DTH company so that other subscribers do not face such issues. Please guide me the necessary legal steps that I can take to get the full refund of this money that I have paid for their poor quality service and flawed products.

Here's an update from the conversation I had with Dish TV representative yesterday after putting this complaint. They are saying that I need to pay service charges compulsorily if they send any person to check the faulty setup box. They cannot help me with it and it is mandatory to pay the service charge, without which they cannot help.

My question is that how many times I need to keep paying them for their faulty products?

I should have switched to other DTH operator in the first place instead of keep paying them for new setup boxes or service charges every time in past.

So overall summary of the conversation is that Dish TV is running a deceitful business of looting their subscribers using such devious techniques. NO HELP OR SUPPORT WAS PROVIDED BY DISH TV in this context.

FINAL UPDATE:

There was NO HELP provided from Dish TV Customer Care. Instead they kept insisting me on paying again for new setup box or service charge without giving any future guarantee of their poor faulty/malfunctioning products. I have decided to change my DTH operator.

Please help or guide me how I can opt for refund o[censored]nused DTH Plan from Dish TV. Also, please guide me how I can take refund of faulty products that they delivered to me?

Kindly note that I do not want to subscribe to Dish TV again. I need help in getting the refund o[censored]nnecessary money I have paid to the Dish TV.

Isnt it your responsibility to address the problem when your setup boxes are malfunctioning this frequently?
