Dr. Agarwal Eye Hospital — wrong prescription & cheating the patients

I am 65 years old and regularly using reading glass for more than 10 years & visited dr. Agarwal eye hospital, tambaram in april, 2019 for my routine power check up before changing the glass. The doctor who has done the testing advised me that i need to go for retina scanning test costing rs.5000 immediately & then to get cataract surgery done in both my eyes. Then i was directed to meet a counselor who inquired me whether i am covered by any mediclaim policy and then started lecturing me on the cost of cataract surgery ranging from rs.25, 000 to rs. 175, 000 per eye. When i said i had come only for change of glasses & not ready to go for surgery, the counselor reluctantly advised me to go and meet the doctor again. The doctor told me to go to the optical section without sharing me the power details. I ordered my glasses in agarwals opticals. After 3 days, i collected the glasses and on wearing, i felt uncomfortable with the new glasses.
Few days later, on my son's insistence, i visited another reputed eye clinic (Sankar nethralaya). After checking my eyes, they said my eyes are absolutely perfect and there is no cataract formation in both my eyes & retina nerve is also very normal. And further said the power has slightly increased because of age factor and it need to be changed. When i showed them the new glasses i purchased from agarwals which is not suiting me, they tested the glasses & told that the power in the glass has no relevance to my eyes requirement. It was really shocking to me that apart from exploiting patients ignorance by advising to go for cataract surgery, prescribing & delivering a wrong power glasses to patients is totally unacceptable & unethical.
I totally lost faith on dr. Agarwal's eye hospital, tambaram branch. I presume that the hospital is keen only on exploiting people rather than giving quality service to the people.
