DTDC Courier — Mishandling of product and it failed to reach the destination

This is to intimate about the strict mishandling of my package and lack of customer service by dtdc courier.
I would like to bring in to account the issue concerned and inform you about the reason for the above statement. On 16th of october i posted a package from dtdc, urappakam, opposite safaa apartments addressed to Amazon Seller service, Thane and the package was supposed to reach thane on 21st as said by the courier agent. But it was later found that the package was misrouted and send to the from-address written on the package(Raifa Basheer, manningal house, PO kuttipala, edarikode, Kerala)mentioned in it. Their mishandling of the package was not informed to me and they returned it to main office.

Infact I went and asked the courier service in kerala and they told that it has been directed to urappakam itself as it was their mistake. But the information was not updated properly in the tracking website which made me go around and around asking for my package atleast to get it back. Not just that the courier team failed to regret the mistake on their part or did proper arrangement to send it again but behaved in a very annoying manner. Finally after calling people around and switching between courier services mentioned in the tracking page and contacting them over and over again, I finally fetched it day before yesterday (19/11/2015) .Its been a month Im behind this just to get my product back.

I have serious complaint against dtdc that there was no proper information about where the package was being carried to. I had given my contact number, it was just a matter of a minute to call me up and regret the issue on their part and I could have done the necessary arrangements then. Even when I approached the agency their behaviour was totally annoying. They told me to go to thailavaram main office in chennai and get it. When i went there they cleaned their hands telling the mistake is on the urappakam agency and directed me back. When I tried calling them they purposefully did not pick up the call.This is how dtdc handle a customer? They were totally irresponsible and lacking morale.

The package was actually a product ordered online through amazon. I ordered it from my hometown-kerala.I was in kerala for a week and that's when I ordered.It was found to be defective. So I had to send it back to them for replacement and the last date to reach them was November 1st. Im residing in chennai. So I posted the package back from a courier service in urappakam. I had written the kerala from address on the package as directed by Amazon seller services as they had no norms to send the package back to a different place other than mentioned during the purchase of the product. I had already confirmed about this with Amazon before sending it. The agency had properly confirmed the from and to address while posting it.

Because of mishandling on their side I had lost the chance of replacement of my product so totally. The money I have spent on purchasing my product and for posting via dtdc has also gone in vain as the product is of no use to me.

Day before Yesterday I fetched my product and Im totally dissatisfied with the way it has been handled and placed. Seeing the condition of the package I didn't want to open it because either way there is no use getting it back. I have enclosed photos along with this to see the condition of the package.

I want to bring in notice this issue to you as I need proper compensation for the mistake on the part of dtdc
