eBay India — Faulty items and denial for replacement during warranty period/rude behavior and unresponsiveness

Recently I had purchased two items from Ebay.in site as I used to think that ebay is one of the best online shopping site which guarantees of good products and after service as well.But in recent past the service I received from ebay India was worse than worst which is provoking me to write such complaint and to abstain from ebay forever. I would like to mention that I am working with a one of the top MNC at a senior position and we are in Digital Marketing service industry as well. So the responses I received were actually pathetic and not expected to be delivered to the customers who are disappointed especially when their concern is genuine.

Here are the details of my purchased items.

Mobile Charger - [protected] (PaisaPayID)

Mobile Battery - [protected] (PaisaPayID)

Concerns I Faced:

1Samsung Battery never got charged up. Samsung charger was working for 10-15 days and suddenly one day it stopped working. I purchased both these products within a time frame of a month.

2When I went on your ebay site for claiming replacement, I got only two options.

First was about the contact the seller and second was call/email your customer care which I did immediately.

2As per below communication, ebay supplier contacted me about the Charger (Battery seller never contacted me) and asked for a hard copy of a receipt which I never received with the parcel. I shared transaction ids, suggested to share email of transaction and also shared the shipping delivery copy which has sellers address. He clearly denied to replace the charger as I could not share hard copy of the receipt as I never received it.

I tried calling your customer care for hours holding receiver in hand but your customer care was never available. Also I wrote an email but I never received any response when they claim to respond within 48 hrs.

3Then I approached ebay social media channels (Facebook and Twitter) and shared my concern, they have been responsive fortunately but they never shared any update. The only update I have been receiving is they have shared complaint to the concern team and they are waiting for the response. I have been chatting with them for last 4 weeks at least.

Please note that, they never mentioned that social media is not a proper channel for claims and I shall proceed with some other claim process. I asked them several times about the timelines but they never shared.

4Some days back when finally ebay customer care attended my call and I spoke with one of the supervisor from their team, his response was like below which is not upto the standards.

- You were supposed to contact through ebay claims within a month so as you have crossed that timeline we cant help. Warranty is for 6 months for these two products and I had initiated a talk on time. I never received proper response or correct direction from any of the ebay member.

-- Social media channels are not the mediums to raise concerns. its only for sharing feedback, so why your Facebook and Twitter specialists never mentioned that?

-- You were supposed to contact the service center and the dealer not to ebay. I had actually done that but I have already mentioned by experience with them above.

Where I went wrong? I need a justice, its not just a matter of money. Even after writing to their grievance managers and other authorities they are not sharing any update.

Please help me.
