I had an email on the 9th October 2023 from Shiprocket that the package is out for delivery. Unfortunately it did not turn up for delivery on the 9th.
So on the 10th, I called Ekart at 10.28 AM on [protected] (from Ekart website) who then asked me to wait for a callback from Ekart.
At 10.29 AM somebody (who later identified himself as Mr Rajesh to me ) called from [protected] and said that the package can be delivered today but I have to pay Rs. 5/- (five only) in order to start the process. I suggested I pay in cash on arrival, but he insisted that I pay instantly via UPI/Netbanking/Credit or debit card. He sent me a link via SMS as follows :

I initiated the payment with my credit card. When the OTP did not arrive for several minutes, I rang him on [protected]. He checked something at his end and then told me that OTP is on it’s way. Few seconds later I received the OTP via SMS from my credit card but the OTP was for a transfer of Rs 19, 999/- and NOT Rs 5/-. (I can assure you that I had not initiated any transaction for Rs 19, 999/- recently).
This person insisted that I share the OTP with him over the phone but I never did. In fact I objected vehemently and raised questions about his credibility.
He then told me that he will return the package to the seller and put the phone down.
As you can understand I am extremely distraught with this and would never trust EKART if this outrageous irregularity is not investigated and corrected urgently.
