My name is Amar Nath, my voter Id is JBX7560071, voter list no is 189 and my polling booth no is 219, balak madhya vidyalay, punaichak. I went to the polling booth today(07/05/2009) to vote as per article 49-O.when I asked for form 49-O, the presiding officers said that there is no such form 49-O available with them but the maximum I can do is to write in voters list that "I refuse to vote" and the sign beneath it. I did so, I just wanted this to bring into your attention because as per I know I must fill a form 49-O if I want to use my right to not to vote. If I am wrong about this I would like to apologize for taking your precious time..

Specially the followings are the mistakes in Voter ID Card:
Spelling mistake in name, Date of birth error. The question has arised, how can it be resolved by the Government and when and how? Is it necessary to file again new application again for the same. How the people again run behind the government office. Is the fault of the individual? If it government it should be again corrected by the authority it self.
It is observed that my self all information submitted correctly time separately, but that has not been uploaded correctly instead of submitting frequently.

sir, i get my voter i card with surname missing, when i approach the election officers they tell me fill form no. 8 with complete documents.I do the same and submitted that to them.they told me that you can collect it after 15 days.And now its already one month passed and now they are saying that again fill some form with a charge of Rs. 25.and again wait.Please tell me what to do?

I have already voted for the election, I was listed in voter list .but till now I haven't recieve my Voter Id card which is my ID proof. This is SANTOSH RAMCHANDRA NIKAM (Father’s Name: Ramchandra Nikam, Age: 30) residing @ Ta-18, Viashrama Patekar Chawl, Dattapada Rd, Patil Wadi, Borivli - East, Mumbai - 66 for the past 30 years and I have Voted in last 8 elections and the latest in MAY 2009 Lokhsabha Election. I have received my latest voter’s ID (ID: KDD4017661, Dated: 30/12/2007).
But during this election i dont find my name in the VOTER'S LIST. I shows the election officer where my all family voted my VOTER'S ID CARD for vote. But he refuses to give me vote in this election.
I worked as Polling agent since last 6 years and this year also I stays as a polling agent of MNS.
This time i found few mistakes in the Election List which are as follows :
1) I found many people's name were missing in this election voting list such as me.
2) Many people name 's come twice in the list including my brother SURESH R. NIKAM.
3) Few people having same name with 2 different Electoral No's.
4) Same as last 3 Elections many peoples photoes are different from their ID CARD.
5) Womens picture on Men's Name.

Kindly look in to the matter and try to rectify these mistakes in the next Election.

The same story has been repeated in this 2011 elections also. I have my voters id card (wjb0924852, dated 06/10/2010, 117 kavundampalayam assembly constituency, tamilnadu, murugan nagar ward 4). but my name is not there in voters list. I have been denied voting to-day) while the election commission has been keen on political parties not being active ithas not put asystem in place to rectify mistakes and correct anamolies.These officials never lose their perks etc but do not ensure voters fundamental rights.)

to-day the electoral officer (polling officer3) behaved very rudely to me saying that he has no time to verify the list for my vote they asked me to stand for long hours with no proper response. booth no 125 constituency 117 kavundampalayam, tamilnadu assembley.We have a right to vote. they should understand. The presiding officer expressed her inability to help me as well.

I am sorry to say that I have not voted in the lok sabha election 2009, since my voter ID card was not ready. moreover my wife had a voter ID card and she voted in the election.

A few months back i.e in Dec 08, I approched the respective office of the corporation in chennai and they informed that my name will be available in the next list which is going to be published in Jan 09.

Unfortunately, I have not recd. till date.

I request you to issue my voter ID card as early as possible.

Do not want to vote, fill form 49-O : Still a mystery;

As mentioned in your article on 13/10/2009, Maharashtra election 2009, I did ask the presiding officer of the polling booth at SVPM School, Kalwa (booth No. 149/63) about the Form 49-O and this caused a one hour halt to the whole voting process in the booth. The presiding officer was ignorant about any thing like that of form 49-O. The polling officers stopped the polling for almost an hour and the people standing in the queue looked at me as if I'm an alien asking for some thing out of the world. The Returning officer was also not having any knowledge about any such form and they said that no such forms are available in the booth. Ultimately the ARO forced me to put my signature in the 17-A register with a remark of the polling officer that "I do to want to vote". Thus awareness of the rules and regulation can also get you in to difficult situation at times.

As there is election in Punjab on 30.01.2012, it should be ensured that form 49 O is availabe at the time of voting.

On 23rd of February there was not available form 49 O in any polling booth of 230 vidhanshabha polling in mahoba district. I and my friends demand form 49 o but form not available at presiding officer of polling botth part no 70, 90, and 100, people were not aware about this in next Election we aware to public about this.

i got my voter id in 2004, in the voter id the photo is not mine.after 2004 i fill the form of voter id many times but not yet received new voter card.ward commisioner does not help me.please help me and make my new voter id. my voter id no. is MTH1491364

school leaving certificate is compulsary for voter id. main thing is that i dont have S.L.C. then i what to do and i dont have any copy. Due to some reason i lost my S.L.C.

I have applied for Voters ID card on 28th august 2008..i was not issued voter id card till now...and my name is not in the voters list.. I was told that my name did not feature a part of the voters list. This shows how serious the elections staffs are working.
When Inqured to the Zonal officer he dose not even bother to respond to queries.
This makes me feel the present Gove is fit for nothing and jus begs at every bodys feet to get back to power. This is the state of the election commision and indian politics.

We have applied for Voters Id card during the month of May 2008. Till date we have not received the Voters id card. We are residing in the present address for past 7 years. We were surprised to see that our names are deleted from the voters list. When we approached the relevant officials they say we are not able to search the id card.
