I had purchased three different products from elica hob/chimney/built in microwave oven on 22-dec-2019, and got it installed on 11-jan-2020. On 20th may, when i used the oven for baking, the glass plate broke with just 3 minutes of heating at 200'c and i even made sure that the plate was rotating. When i registered the complaint to elica, call was arranged from bangalore hq. It was unfortunate that instead of giving a resolution, they insisted that it was not due to technical problem but due to my physical negligence and denied a replacement stating that its not under warranty. Since this happened due to mere heat of oven, i am expecting a resolution on my favor instead of such statements.. Elica India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint. Glass can break only subject to impact. The cost of the glass is communicated by our team to you, please confirm so that we can proceed to raise the order for the glass. To be honest, i am surprised and disappointed with the comment from Elica. I wouldn't have logged a consumer complaint if the breakage had happened due to any physical impact. I have clearly mentioned this while a person from Elica had called me. Lets not play a Blame Game here, when i can purchase three different products from Elica, i can even afford a 2300 rupees glass plate. All I am questioning here is the quality of the glass plate which was designed to use inside the oven, which I have done so. Even if I buy a new one, how can you guarantee that this wont happen again. You will again claim that it happened due to physical impact. I have been using oven from past several years and none of the glass plate broke due to heat. I had already heard a lot about elica's Bad Service, now I guess I am experiencing it!
