My self Gaurish N, I came in contact with this fraud company while I was in Qatar for work purpose back in 2013. It was Merwyn Ferrao, claiming to be employee of Expat Properties in Doha Qatar Office. He advertise the land as NA plots on Facebook. Upon meeting him personally he assured me that all transactions are through bank and stamp paper agreement will be given.
I booked 1/2 plot in Harmony, Dodamarg, Maharastra, he took INR 25, 000/- in cash from me (in Qatari Riyal) and provided me hand written receipt for it. in 1 month I paid 1, 75, 000/- through cheque. After that I received my stamp paper agreement in which I was to pay total 9, 05, 000/- in four annual installment. I paid three installments (1, 35, 000 x 4 = 5, 40, 000/-). In total I paid 7, 40, 000/-
When my plot hand over date approached, in December 2017 I received e-mail from Expat properties office that project is delayed and my last cheque will be kept on hold. Ever since then they keep on saying in next six months project will commnece.
When I approached Merwyn Ferrao asking explanation initially he said due to some approvals project is delayed. And once fine day he said I left Expat properties job and don't contact me anymore and insisted me to contact Expat office in Goa/Bangalore.
In July 2022 in Goa Office (on kadamba plaetu, near Old Goa) I met with Malvina Franco and Santosh Gayak both claiming to be employees of Expat Properties, they said I have only option to swap the project from Harmony to Carnival and have to may almost double the amount for half the land area. I insisted them to refund my full amount along with interest as mentioned in agreement. Upon which Santosh Gayak said its difficult to get back the only have option to swap plot.
I further inquire about the Carnival project and found that people already paid money for that project years ago and still not received plots. Then after I mailed them for my refund, but there is no response from Expat Properties Ltd office.
As of now I have very little hope that I will ever get back my money. Still writing here to get some info or help from this platform.
