My sister bought a product (order ID: 3882870) but because of the bad quality product a refund was made. Product taken back. The refund made was in the form of store credits of 799.
As per the site the refund for COD related returns cab be NEFT'ed to the given bank account. At first this did not happen. The policies are mentioned at http://www.fashionandyou.com/cms/returns
So we were okay to keep the store credits for later use. But since there are not good collection to choose from for months, we requested an NEFT to my given bank. The FashionAndYou agreed and asked for authorization by my sister to do the NEFT transaction to my account. My sister provided the desired authorization statement and the
requested valid id proof of mine. We did not receive any response from FashionAndYou after that. After a few days when we asked about the status of the transaction, following reply came:

Apologies for the inconveneince caused.This is to inform you that as per company policy we can't transfer the StoreCredits into your bank account, so we request you to use the credits in your next purchase with FashionandYou as it is valid till 23/12/14.

So I again read the policies mentioned on the site and it said:

Please note:
1. If on a rare chance you receive any damaged/defective product please send an email at [protected]@fashionandyou.com within 24 hours of delivery, along with photographs and our customer care team will assist you accordingly. Your money refund will be done as NEFT for payments made through ‘cash on delivery’ mode, and if your payment is made through credit/ debit card or any net banking then the amount is credited back to your account from which the payment was made.
2. Your returns must reach our Return Cell with original tags; else you will not be eligible for refunds.
3. Your returns not validated by our Quality team will be shipped back to you on to pay basis as per your request received via email/phone.

So we see that we are clearly denied NEFT based refund of the StoreCredits money to our bank account by FashionAndYou. Moreover FashionAndYou forcing us to use the credits in next purchase with FashionAndYou
as it is valid till 23/12/14. By writing this statement FashionAndYou is suggesting that our money in the store credits will become zero if we do not use it before 23/12/14.
We see that there is the conflict of ethics and violation of their own policies towards the customers. The reply by FashionAndYou sounds like a threat to steal our hard earned money.
I already wrote FashionAndYou that we would love to buy things from them but since there are not good
collection to choose from for months, the last things that comes to mind is that we should have our money back in our account. And of course we can certainly buy things again sometime in future if FashionAndYou
keeps good stuff. But sadly it is not happening for months. That is why I am asking you again to do an NEFT to the account we have mentioned earlier. I requested FashionAndYou to respond us as early as possible. Sadly there is no response from them.
We have no choice in this situation but report a consumer complaint. I wish our legal system could take some steps towards resolving such money related complaints. Not returning the money is like stealing the money. Worst part is that such businesses are still operating. Please resolve our complaint. Was this information helpful? |
