[Resolved] Federal Bank — lost money from account while trying to withdraw from atm | |
Sir, my father is a customer of federal bank, last week my brother tried to withdraw money using the federal bank atm card from an atm machine of south indian bank, he tried three times, and at first the transaction was not successful and then he withdrew 20 thousand rupees as ten thousand each. Father is now in abroad and he recieved mesaage that 30000 rupees is deducted from it. I too know that it is not possible to take morethan 20000 rupees using that card from otherbank atm. But unfortunately the amount is shown as wirhdrew three times 10000, as soon i complained through the federalbank toll free service. But therewere no any response after, my father mailed several times to the bank and yesterday he got a reply that your complaint has been rejected by the bank seems south indian bank, he was trying to contact the branch manager at the same day lost money, but the phone was kept unattended till yesterday. The account is nre/nro and the bank is treating a valuable customer irresponsibly even reported the money loss, father asked me to close the account and stop all dealings with federal bank and to proceed against them legally. So, am taking this as a last chance before it to get a redressal of complaint and to get the lost amount refunded. I hope the immediate response from the part of the federal bank and the south indian bank in which the atm transaction was made. Atleast provide a genuine contact details to get a fast solution for this, it has been two weeks now. Toll free number is not working in abroad, so he couldnt contact through it, and when i contacted the bank officials are not ready to share any information regarding account with me and also father couldnt get connected with the branch since the loss happened. Please do a fast referral and start proceedings to refund the amount which is lost due to the machine error,
