I purchased online a handycam from Flipkart.com for my sister (Oreder ID: OD[protected] on[protected]. They delivered the product on[protected] at the given address in Allahabad. On the box, it is mentioned that free original Sony Memory Card is inside the box. However, when we open the box, the memory card was missing. We lodged the complaint on the very first day to flipkart and they asked us to send the photograph of the box where it is mentioned. We did the same and provided them the proof. Now, they are saying that they are not responsible for the missing item and asking us to contact the manufacturer i.e. Sony. They are also saying that since it is not mention on the flipkart website they are not responsible for the missing item. We had series of communication (both written and phone) to the flipkart. Today, finally they denied the complaint by saying that neither they will provide the missing item nor they will return the product. In my opinion this is nexus between the flipkart and its seller to remove freebees from the box, so that consumers will be forced to buy these items from them.
