[Resolved]  Flipkart — Biotique - Bio Green Apple Shampoo/ Received item but wrong quantity

Order was placed on 16/06/2020 for Biotique - Bio Green Apple Shampoo - 400ml (Non Returnable) with other two items. Received text SMS confirming the order and when clicked on the links the item clearly showed item quantity as 400ml. Received Biotique - Bio Green Apple Shampoo - 340 ml on 22/06/2020. Called on the toll free number - only to be told that there is no agent available due to the current issue with Covid 19 Lock-down going on. However received multiple text SMS to contact the toll free for any and all concerns.

Next tried the online chat service provided by Flipkart - received automated responses for call back. Spoke with agent Lalit - robotic responses - not well aware of how to deal with complains. Gave email addresses when asked for - [protected]@flipkart.com and [protected]@flipkart.com. Both emails are no longer in use. Requested for another call back on the chat. Spoke with agent Manav - knowledgeable and confirmed that the item needs to be returned for refund or replacement. He said he can place the request for return. Put the call on hold. Call got disconnected but I never got a call back.
Tried to call back again however the chat window started showing errors. No call back request went through.
Received text message to contact through the chat window again. No use at all.

I told both the agents that the difference is price and shipping charge is not vast but the negligence on their part for not checking the item before shipping is what is annoying and rather than just crediting the difference, I have to go through the whole process of returning, waiting for approval of refund. getting the amount credited or transformed into gift certificate and reordering. this is like the vendor sent the wrong item purposely. Waiting for their stock to be updated till the customer either return the product or ask for refund.

Please find attached the images of the Items I ordered and received. I spoke with your agent Mr Lalit [+[protected]] at 4:54 PM today who told me he will arrange the return of the item. That is not what I want.

I would like to know when the item was shipped why was the details of the order not checked before shipping. Was it blindly assumed that the customer will not check what he/ she is paying for. Or was it to buy time to get the right product by the time the item is returned. Especially if a return has to be arranged.

The cost difference of the two items are not vast but if I return the item, what guarantee can I get the I will receive the correct item when I reorder.

The return has to be received by Flipkart. Refund has to be done for an item that is sold with No Return Policy. I have to place another order for the correct item and wait till I receive it to confirm that I got the right item. I have to do the reordering too. Minimum 10 days.

Before I go through the trouble of arranging the return of the item I would like confirmation that I get the correct item from Flipkart when I reorder and also if there is an option to refund the difference of cost of the item and shipping charge. That would be easier on me more than Flipkart. Even if it is a negligible amount for Flipkart.
