[Resolved] Flipkart — charging above inr for the product | |||||
Hi, I had ordered a product under order id - od[protected] on 20 jan 2018. The selling price put up on the website was rs.650. I had paid additional amount of rs.40 as shipping charge as well. So a total of rs.690 was paid by me. But when i received the product on 29 jan 2018, as per the price label on the product cover, this product's actual mrp is rs.428 only which was inclusive of all taxes. I was charged additional rs.222 for this product (Excluding the rs.40 shipping charge). This is misleading and illegal act by the seller to sell a product much beyond it's mrp. Hence i contacted the flipkart customer care on 30 jan 2018 and notified this discrepancy. The customer care representative asked me to send the proofs showing that the selling price was above the mrp. I submitted the proofs (Please see attached) and had asked to refund of rs.222 (Which is excluding the shipping charge) as this is the extra amount charged from me for this product. But they simply closed the ticket and did not show any responsibility to solve this complaint. Today (31 jan 2018) i received messages from flipkart saying they are trying to contact me on my mobile number [protected] and that i am unreachable. I am receiving all other calls and messages. The fact is that flipkart customer care is trying to mislead this complaint saying that are unable to reach me on my contact number. I also gave an alternate contact number and no one called me to resolve this complaint. It is requested that suitable action be taken to give me the refund for the extra charge of rs.222 taken from me and also stop selling products above the mrp. If this complaint is resolved in next 5days, i will have no other option that to raise this complaint in the district consumer court for a resolution. Jan 31, 2018 Complaint marked as Resolved Flipkart has confirmed to initiate refund for the extra charges paid above the product MRP. Flipkart customer support has been notified about the posted complaint. Verified Support Feb 01, 2018 Flipkart Customer Care's response We will revert on it.
