[Resolved]  Flipkart — Flipkart refuses to pickup return item after approving the return

I purchased an HP NeverStop 1200nw Multifunction printer and it got delivered on the 27th of September 2022. Having unpacked it I found the following issues with the printer.

1. The original HP carton was torn and damaged. The printer has scratch marks and damage. The printout was faded and the print quality was extremely poor.
2. I contacted HP customer care and they informed me that the Warranty for the product had already expired. They also mentioned that the seller “Sri Ramana Solvex Private Limited” is an unauthorized seller of Flipkart and they will not update the warranty. Which means the printer I just bought is worth nothing.

I immediately initiated a return request with Flipkart. The Flipkart customer executive contacted the seller and the seller agreed to take the printer back. And return request was accepted on the 5th of October. From the 5th of October to the last day of pickup which was on 10th, I called up Flipkart’s customer care multiple times to complain that the Wishmaster was refusing to come and collect the product for return. On the 7th a Wishmaster named Kiran (ph: [protected]) did arrive at my house, inspected the product and said it was too big to be carried on his motorcycle. And that he would arrive the next day at 10 am and collect the same. No one ever turned up. Even repeated calls to Flipkart’s customer service were futile. They said they have escalated the issue with Ekart and that they couldn’t do anything further about this. The product has never been picked up to this day.

On the 11th of October, I receive a message from Flipkart that the return has been canceled. I do not understand why or who initiated a cancellation! On enquiring with Flipkart customer care, they did not have any idea either. All they could do was reinitiate a return once again! On the 15th of October, I get a message from Flipkart they have now completely canceled my return request.

I want the product taken back by Flipkart and my money returned.

I wrote emails to their customer care and the CEO of Flipkart. When that did not work, I formally sent them a "Legal Notice". After which they picked up the product and refunded my money.
Flipkart customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
