[Resolved]  Flipkart — Not refunding for item returned

- I purchased A Peter england suit Rs 4409 from Flipkart. Delivery was done by Delhivery courier on Aug 21st 2022.
-Product did not meet the description, hence wanted to return it back. It had a 10 day return policy WHICH WAS 31ST AUG
- But my flipkart account showed that the product was ON THE WAY and not delivered. I called Flipkart on 22nd Aug and highlighted that status was "ON THE WAY" and because of this "RETURN OPTION " will not open in the website
- Flipkart officials told that they cannot send anyone for return and pick up as system is showing as product "ON THE WAY"
-I told them that product is already received so you send someone for pick up, otherwise my 10 day return DATE will end.
- But Flipkart executives told not to worry as 10 day will start only after the system shows delivered. So 10 day will not get over on 31Aust 2022 (Many of them told this - as I called, mailed and chatted with the return request from August 22nd to Septembet 5TH 2022)
- inspite of calling them, mailing them and chatting regularly, Flipkart did not update the delivery status till 5th september. They kept saying not to worry
- On 6th September they just send a mail saying that the product was delivered on 21st Aug . when I checked my Flipkart account, they had updated the status as delivered on 21st Aug and refund window closed on 31st Aug
- I called Flipkart and said how can you close return window. Flipkart was supposed to update Delivery Status immediately when the product is delivered. But Flipkart waited till the return period was over i.e 31st Aug, Not only that, 10 days plus 6 days they updated their system
- I mailed to the grievance officer, spoke to some senior customer support team and then by evening of 6th September I got a call from Flipkart that they will send person for return pick up.
- Next day I received a SMS from Delhivery Courier confirming the pick up. The product was delivered by the same courier. So both for delivery and pick up I received messages from the same service.
- Not only that, before pick up I had to give an OTP to initiate the return pick up. I also clicked pics while the person checked the product, the packaging and after confirming that product is with the original packing, with tags, etc, he took the item. As proof he gave a customer copy with a scan confirming the return pick up
- However the status in my Flipkart account remained as RETURN WINDOW CLOSED, nothing was updated
- I was told that refund will be initiated once they receive the item which will usually take more than a week .
- I waited for 2 weeks and when i checked my Flipkart account, they had changed the status to REFUND REJECTED on 25TH SEPTEMBER
- from 25th sept Flipkart is is just hearing my issue every time i call for refund. They keep telling 48hrs we will resolve but nothing is happening
- They asked me proof, i have given the customer copy given by Delhivery courier. i have send the photo and name of the person from Delhivery courier. i have send sms received from courier for return pick up with OTP
- Inspite of all this Flipkart is telling they cant do anything until system is updated as return and pick up done, then only they will refund. Also they are asking sms after pick up. When i told them that Delhivery has given a hard copy and no SMS, they are asking me to wait for the sms. AFter one and half month of trouble they are telling me all this.
- It was Flipkart whose system was not updated,
- from august 22nd they were only telling system is not telling them product is delivered. while the truth was i received the item on 21st Aug. I was telling them I received so pls come and pick but they were just stuck to system updates
- Now also product is picked up on 7th September and i am sure they have received it but since system is not updated they are telling that they didnt receive any product for refund

- On 6Th October one of the executive bluntly told me that Flipkart didnt send anyone and asked me to put a complaint against the person who picked up the product as Fraud and also file cyber crime against the courier
- I said the same courier came to drop the product and the same courier picked up. And that too Flipkart called me and told me that they will arrange for pick up. Plus return is activated with OTP. So Delhivery courier is not at fault nor any fraud came and picked up. Return was done in a proper way.
- the technical and logistics team of Flipkart are not putting the actual status of the product and hence all this issue. No proper resolution is done. Only calls come and hear the complaint, they give me 48 hrs and ask for feedback. Thats all is happening from 22nd August till 6th October
- Flipkart has arranged the return, picked the product and now not refunding till their system instructs them. But the system is showing all wrong status right from AUG 22ND. They are turning deaf ears.
- System issue does not mean Customer should suffer

Please help me to get my issue solved

Flipkart called after the complaint and contacted the seller . they acknowkedged that some where the item was not updated. They did all the follow up with the seller and finally they refunded my amount. Thank you so much

- Flipkart staff today called and said that they cant find the product and sellet WESTBURY EXPRESS is telling he has not received . I dont know who is at fault, WESTBURY EXPRESS the seller, DELHIVERY courier or FLIPKART e commerce staff
