[Resolved]  Flipkart — not yet refunded my money of rs. 394/-

Subj: - non refund of Rs. 394/- inspite of several reminders.

I had purchased “2 pieces” of GAUBA TRADERS DOUBLE WALL TEA MUGS from flipkart. The order ID no is: - OD[protected] purchased on :[protected], the cost of each mug is “Rs. 394/-. Therefore 2 pieces cost = Rs.788/-”.

The items which I had ordered were not the same as it differed from the picture shown on their website as well as it was defective. When I added water in both the mugs and kept it aside for some time, the water started seeping inside the double walls of the mugs.

I logged in to their website to ask for a refund, but their portal only permits the “tab for replacement”, and not refund. Where in earlier, a customer could automatically from his / her own login ID, could return an item and ask for refund, by himself / herself. This facility is now barred for the customer, only their agents / telecallers are given the facility to refund the item returned by the customer.

So on[protected], I called flipkart toll free Number and spoke to Mr. Prashant to raise a request for the refund of both the defective mugs, request no / reference no IN[protected]. I was told by Prashant that after 48 hours I shall receive a call from their executive for the same.

Since I didn’t receive any call from them on[protected] I called them up and asked them what they had done about my request. This time the agent was by the name Ms. Arshiya. She told me that the request which was raised has been cancelled without my permission. On speaking with her further, I told her that I received no call from them and neither did I give any permission to anyone to close up the case. So she raised my request with a new reference number IN[protected]. She assured me that I shall be given a call by[protected].

Awaiting for their call till[protected], i called back again and this time the agent I got was Ms. Sujata. I was finally very frustrated by such a behavior and I asked her to transfer my call to senior executive / supervisor which she did. The senior executive / supervisor who took my call was Ms. Heena. My request no. / request no. this time was IN1010100000339543851687. Finally a person named Mr. Raut came over that day to my place and collected both the defective mugs. I was not given any challan / nor anything in writing that the same was handed over to him.

The item which was taken was not fed by the pick up agent in their system, as they usually do and it didn’t reflect at all neither on their website, nor any email was sent to me regarding the same. When I didn’t receive the intimation of the same I called up the flipkart agent, Mr. Deepak (took the call) again on[protected]. The reference no given is IN[protected].

When I still didn’t receive the intimation of the return and that refund process has begun I called again on[protected]. I asked the agent to transfer my call to their supervisor and this time it was Ms. Sejal who attended to me. I requested to draw up a refund money for both the mugs, but she did only for ONE MUG AND NOT THE OTHER. The reference no is IN[protected]. On this reference number I received the refund for only ONE MUG TILL DATE AND THE OTHER IS PENDING.

From here on the process becomes tedious and impatience, for asking the refund of the second mug.
The following are the details of the reference numbers, dates and agent names who made my request for replacement and not refund.

1) Date:[protected] Agent = Harshita, Reference number = IN[protected]
Here again my request taken up for replacement and not refund.
On[protected], Ms. Payal, from their senior department of flipkart, calls me and says that the request is not put up for refund so this number will be cancelled and I have to call back to their agents after 48 hours and ask for a fresh reference number.

2) Date:[protected] Agent = Neha, Reference number = IN[protected]. I was totally fed up with their behavior and asked ms.Neha to transfer my call to their executive. Ms. Shanti took up my call and put in my request for refund as she said with the reference number IN[protected]. She assured me saying that my problem will be resolved by[protected], and that I shall get my refund in my account from which I had made payment.She was time in again apologizing for the mishap caused by the error in their flipkart computerized system. I even clarified with her that I am ready to receive cash in place of credit to my account if their system is unable to process my request. Her assurance was of no use as no money came to me for the second mug which was returned.

Till date I have not received any refund and I am just being made to run from pillar to post.

Kindly help me to recover my money as well as interest and damages.

Complaint : customer order for 2 quantities got different product delivered got refund for only on quantity

Solution : Interacted with the customer conveyed the apology and initiated and completed refund for pending on 1 more quantity closing the case.

Dear sir / madam,
The latest update is as below: -
Mr. Harish from the consumer helpline of flipkart called me up yesterday. He offered to refund the money, and the process has already begun. He said that the money will be credited in my SB account on or before[protected].

I shall keep you updated about the same.

this is to inform you that the Rs. 394/- which was pending from the flipkart as mentioned in my complaint, has been credited in my account.
