I ordered a nothing phone one and got it delivered on 3rd August. After using the device, I noticed a green tint on the bottom area of the display panel. After researching online, I found it is a hardware issue. So I raised a replacement request with Flipkart, After struggling with the support team for days. On 8th august, They registered a replacement order. But also, a technician visit to confirm the defect on the device I received. The support also said, Only if the technician approves the defect. The replacement order will be accepted by Flipkart support.
The next day, the technician was assigned from Jeeves. I met the person in the evening. I explained to him the issue. He agreed there is an issue. Then he said he needed approval from his manager. So he took a picture of the issue and shared it with his manager and called him on a loudspeaker. Also, requesting me to listen to the conversation. He explained the issue to his manager. After a moment of silence, the manager said something which was not clear and ended the call. Next the technician said this will not be approved by us. I will have to contact Flipkart support to get the replacement approved. Also, he shared his phone number and said he can make a fake report and get this replacement approved with some exchange of money, then he took off.
After a while, I received a notification that the replacement request was canceled.
Then I reached Flipkart support, Explaining my experience and concern. They raised a ticket saying a senior person will reach out to me for resolution, The next day morning, I got a call from the support, the support person convinced me to go through the technician visit once again.
Later that evening, A new technician came to check the device, and I explained the issue again. This person also confirmed there is an issue. Finally, he said this issue cannot be diagnosed through the diagnostics app. so he cannot approve the defect. I asked him to tell the same to the Flipkart support but he denied it by cursing Flipkart and their return system. again this person also told me indirectly that he can help with this process positively in exchange for money.
At this point, I understood flipkart and Jeeves and are scams who played me. As my return period has expired, There is no point in contacting Flipkart support.
I feel so bad and stressed by how Flipkart treated me.
