Hi sir, ma'am,
I have ordered a redmi note 5 (Black, 32 gb) from flipkart.com worth rs. Of 9999 on 7th of march 2018 12:00 pm. Because of wrong color i didn't like the product and cancelled it on 7th march 2018 1:00 pm. On 7th march 2018, i got a message and mail from flipkart.com saying that "₹9999.0 as refund will be transferred to your original payment mode within 2 business days (Bank holidays not included)"
I waited and waited for a week but didn't get the message for money refund from my bank account. I called flipkart.com and the way they responded was shocking for me. They said they had done the refund to my bank on 7th march 2018. Kindly contact your bank customer care. I called to citibank customer care and they said they have not received any refund request from merchant flipkart.com. They said me to ask the arn number from flipkart.com, so that they can check the transaction status of the refunded money in their system.
Again i called to flipkart.com and asked for the arn number. On that they said that they are not having any arn number since i have done the payment through net banking not through credit or debit card, but i have used my debit card to make payment. Instead of that they had given me one reference no and told me to give that number to my bank so that they can check. They send me one mail as well in that they have mentioned about the reference number and the refund which had never ever happened.
I again called to citibank customer care and told that reference no. Which i got from flipkart.com but citibank representatives were unable to see any details using that number since their system accept only 23-digits arn number to fetch any kind of information regarding refund. But flipkart.com didn't give me any arn number.in between these days i called flipkart and citi bank 1000 times but empty handed. After that on 28th may 2018, i visited citibank, the representative investigated and told there is no refund request from from merchant flipkart for this transaction as this is a valid transaction according to flipkart. Then representative asked to raise a charge back letter against flipkart with all proofs of bank statement, cancelled message and mails from flipkart and told me to wait for 2 working days. I did as suggested, next day i got a call form merchant flipkart representative, he said the charge back is false the refund amount of rs 9999 is been completed on the same day i. E 7th of march 2018 so contact your bank. I asked representative to send me a mail of what he said, he sent me a mail.
Again visited citi bank on 2nd of june 2018, as expected the same sentence
Repeated from citi bank as well "merchant has not credited the refund money to my bank account" again i forwarded all the mails from merchant flipkart to citibank representative with all proofs, then the representative raised a dispute and said they will investigate this further and asked to wait for 2 bank working days.
After 2 days i again called citi bank customer care, they said that refund has not been done from flipkart.com. I don't who is lying and not even bother to refund my money. I am pretty sure the problem is from flipkart.com end. Flipkart.com is not going to loot your money. But actually they did.
Sir, i am going to attach the relevant document. Kindly have a look and try to resolve my issue. I will be very thankful to you. Below are few more detials:
