[Resolved] Flipkart — Return/refund request for faulty item not being addressed properly | |||||
Hi, I ordered a XOLO ERA 1X -4G with LTE (Black and Gun Metal, 8 GB) mobile (OD[protected] and it got delivered on 1st March. The mobile had several issues and hence I decided to return the item. But during the return initiation process I had to face several problems (not mentioning them all due to time limitation) and eventually the request was initiated after 15 days. I wanted to return the item and get the refund in lieu of that but the Flipkart executives convinced me for an replacement and assured me of return/refund if the new item was found to be defective. Now, a new device has been delivered on 19th and it has started giving following issues within 10 days of its delivery – i. Phone is heating up for a mare use 30-45 mins, becoming difficult to listen while keeping the speaker in contact with ear. Stopped using it in the fear of any disaster. ii. Touch is very poor, many a times it doesn't respond to a touch, particularly frustrating during keying...also lags too much while swiping. Now realizing it a faulty item, I made a return & refund request yesterday but now going through the annoying experiences like - all communications are going to my father (I gave my father’s no while purchasing the phone and changed that one to mine before making the return request) who is now out of station...don't understand why I am not being contacted directly when I changed the mobile no to my no. - came to know from my father that some product specialist would be visiting my place for checking the item while I was assured last time that I won’t have to face any delay or any other hurdle during return/refund if the replaced item found to be defective one this time. But, unfortunately again I am going through the same pain. In the afternoon, a Flipkart executive called me informing me of a technician’s visit which I refused to entertain. Because if the technician doesn’t suggest the issues to be serious enough the return process would be stuck and which I can’t afford to agree with since I paid the full amount for purchasing the item, hence can’t settle for a defective/ substandard product forced upon me. Also, I can’t take the risk o[censored]sing the hazardous device any more due to the heating issue which I have been observing for the last 2 days. While writing to you, just now, another technician called me and suggested rebooting the device in safe mode to solve the touch issue, heating issue which are clearly manufacturing defects. Now, hope you would understand the harassment that have been going through for the last one month and hence sincerely request you to put a permanent end to this pain by resolving the issue at the earliest.
