My daughter is a student in Chicago and I booked a United Airline flight ticket for her from Chicago to New Delhi on 30th October, 2021 via Canada. Within 24 hours I realized that to travel via Canada she will need a transit visa and due to covid, the embassies were shut. So I talked to United Airlines and they said that they will cancel my booking and refund to Flipkart and that Flipkart can refund to me. After that I mailed flipkart for the cancellation and was told that they will cancel in 60 to 90 days and will deposit money in my bank in the next 9 days. I waited patiently till 100+ days only to get an email that my money will not be refunded.
The United Airline have this 24 hours cancellation policy + they cancelled my flight themselves. They agreed to refund but Flipkart is all about keep the money to themselves.
I was promised that I will get the refund so I didnt even try to get a visa for Canada. All of this just to know after 3+ months that they are going to keep my money.
All their emails are automated and no contact can be established with them.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.
We book through third party apps for better experience but I regret booking through Flipkart Travels. It would have been much smoother and quicker with United Airlines.
