My ford ecoboost car (2015 model) got breakdown near Chearthala and Kochi; on the way back to Bangalore from Kollam, Kerala; on 3rd Jan and towed to the nearest Ford service center (Malayalam ford, panangadu, Kochi 682506)and found that one side of the clutch is completely gone and replaced. All services are done ontime at metro Ford st. Marks road, Bangalore. Already a complaint registered against my car and done milage test(at Metro Ford, No.63 St. Marks Road, Bangalore 560001) and dected the issue is with clutch and breakdown happened in between.
The defective clutch is with me (pictures available with service engineer midhun, i am having the replaced cluch for avidence)and found that it is a manufacturing defect. The service centre folks dont have any answer since the clutch replacement on a ecoboost vehicle is the first time and the total driven is only 16K kms. The one side of the clutch is completely gone and impossible with driving, that too clutch usage is negligible since 14K+ kms driven in highway. Even though it is manufacturing defect, service center folks are not ready to raise the complaint and clutch replacement didn't reduce a single penny even on my ford extended warranty period. I also took 5 days (2/1/2017 - 7/1/2017) for the repair.

As per ford delears the ford won't manufacture a clutch which will run only 16000 KMs. The brand new car clutch will last for 40000 KMs even on half clutch drive inside city or a lady driver.
The ford customer complain(concern number is[protected]was also closed without contacting me and mentioned as no answer from me. The Metro ford, palace road, bangalore detected the cluch issue after the official milage test.
The manufaturing defect iteams should be replaced by the company. If the ford claims that they produce low quality stuffs like this, then there should be some automobile experts to detect the root cause. But still they mention as SERVICE center & customer RELATIONS.
