I took delivery of a ford ecosport 1.5 tdci titanium model on 06th april 2018 and within a week started noticing that the door lock sensor was not working regularly it was working intermitently took it to the dealer jsp ford bangalore from where the car was purchased and the sales advisor also checked from his end and the door lock sensor was not working hence i was suggested to go to the service department to check the issue and appointment was scheduled with the service advisor.
Took the vehicle to the service center as per the appoinment and showed the same to sa (Service advisor) when the issue was still happening and he tried couple of times and then it started working upon my persistence the sa took the car to the garage and connected to the laptop and said that he has disabled and enabled the door locking program and there will not be any issue the next moment i tried and the door locking sensor was not working for some time and later the sa tried and it started working. I was not able to buy the explanation given by the sa but did not have any choice but to come back and its been 2 weeks since then and i have noticed the issue multiple times and observed that the issue happens only when it is raining or the car had a wash after some time it starts working again.
I am sure the sa will not buy my observations and checked with other ecosport users in facebook groups and many ecosport owners are facing this issue and awaiting a solution. I am surprised when this seems to be a known issue how the sa is not aware and wy no tsb is created for this.
Would need help with regards to this issue to be resolved asap.
