I bought my ford fiesta in july 2007. The car is regularly serviced at talera ford (Wagholi, pune).
The car just came back from a regular service in may 2017.
On 4th july 2017, the car caught fire in bonnet, due to possibly a short circuit (Details were never provided). The car was towed to service center same day.
Since then, till today (17th aug 2017), i am waiting to know when my car will be repaired and delivered back to me.
(1) the service center took a long time with ford india to explain/ analyze the issue - almost a month.
(2) ford india rejected the proposal to do the repairs on their cost. I don't see any fault of mine and yet the proposal was rejected.
(3) inspite of having insurance with icici lombard and filling the claim details, even this is not progressing for last 2 weeks due to details pending from ford india.
I have made 2 visits to the service center which is quite far from my place ( 20 kms) and personally requested the service managers to expedite. Still, till today i don't know when will the repair be done and how much i need to pay, though i still don't agree that i should pay for this.
I had bought ford fiesta expecting better service. Now, i am reluctant to buy ford as my next car. Was this information helpful? |
