I had a very bad experience while ordering for a cake from French Loaf, Kalikapur Branch, Kolkata. More to it, I have been conned, they have not kept their promise as well. Let me enumerate. On 27th May 2017, I went to this particular outlet and ordered for a one and a half kg cake. They promised me to deliver the cake by 5-30 pm. In the evening I went there to receive my cake and then they informed that the cake was yet not ready. It was my child's birthday. Guests were supposed to arrive by 6. I hope you understand the reason for ordering such a huge cake., I asked them to provide a free home delivery and in return the staffs in the outlet asked for an Uber charge. I came again after an hour and received my cake. But to my surprise it was a different cake. I hurriedly dialed the Chennai main office as well as the Kolkata main office to report this issue, a sheer lack of sincerity. They did lend a patient ear and promised me to take a refund. Next to next day when people from my family went there to take the refund, they went along with the bill, the staffs there refused to issue the refund. They told me that you have already consumed the cake. Now tell me one thing, there was a party at my place, I had already paid the amount. What would have I done? Refuse to take the cake and return empty hand? Or do they expect me to run here and there and find a decent cake shop and order for a one and a half kg cake instantly and then went home and serve the guests at the party?

French Loaf has not only shown callousness, they are also liars and cheaters.
