Gaana.com — auto-renewal done even though i had disabled the auto-renewal option.

I had received 3 months of trial membership coupon code for gaana from paytm on march 12, 2020. I had used that coupon code from my account "[protected]@gmail.com" on gaana.

My plan was set to auto-renew on june 9, 2020. They have an option to disable auto-renewal and i had disabled the auto-renewal option on june 5th. But they've went ahead with the auto renewal anyway! With a one year plan of rs. 399

What was the purpose of having a button to disable auto renewal if their intention is to do an auto-renewal without my consent. Perhaps they just want to fool the customers into thinking that the auto-renewal has been cancelled so that they can go ahead an charge the card without the customer noticing! They did this at 12:22 am today morning (June 9, 2020). This is fraud! I wonder how many people they've fooled like this.

As you can see in the attached image of the email i received yesterday night (June 8, 2020) at 11:34 pm saying my membership is expiring. Then how can they renew it without my consent a few minutes later at 12:22 am today morning on june 9, 2020?! Please, please help me get a refund. I don't need their premium music service at all.

Time o[censored]nauthorized card charge. 12:22 AM June 9, 2020. After the expiry confirmation message at 11:28 AM June 8, 2020. Not 11:34 PM, sorry.

Their customer service agent shared an example of what a renewal notification looks like, saying I would have received one like it. It says "Your Gaana+ subscription is expiring and will be auto-renewed tomorrow."

But the notification I received says "Your Gaana+ subscription is about to expire. Please click on the below link to renew:" Which I didn't click!

It's clear from this that I had indeed disabled auto-renewal. And they still went ahead and renewed it and is refusing to refund my money.

Looks like Gaana.com's new business model is to send out promo codes, lure in people and get their credit card numbers and force a subscription on us and then ask us to enjoy it by refusing to issue a refund! They're robbing people blind. Forcing a subscription of Rs. 399 on 1000 people is 4 Lakh Rupees! Disgusting!
