Gas Agencies — Forcing us to buy Kitchen Appliances along with New Gas connection

Hi, We have transfered gas connection from Nellore dist. to sompeta mandal, srikakulam dist. When we went to gas agencies to get our transfered gas connection, they forced us to buy new kitchen appliances from them. We refused to buy kitchen appliance since we dont have enough money and moreover doesnot needed. They replied that if we donot purchased these products, we wont get Gas connection. Literally denying to provide New and Old gas connection until and unless we purchase products from the same gas dealer. Kindly let us know why they are demanding and forcing public to buy kitchen appliances from the same gas dealer along with new gas connection? Is it a traditional thing followed by rest of the gad dealers in other places? Why they force public to buy products without willingness of public. Please reply me on this
