We have shipped one parcel of 4kg with the docket no.[protected] on 14-12-16 by Gati. The booking was from vasai road to Daman (160kms distance). Assured delivery date was 16-12-16. because of the urgency only we have accepted to make a to-pay payment of Rs.956/- for a 4kg material.
The material was not delivered even after follow up with Gati. And on 19-12-16 our end customer refused to accept the late delivery, as he was only accepted this high fright charge for timely delivery.
Now we are following up with the gati customer care to return the material back to us and they direct us to contact booking office, and follow up with booking office and they ask us to pay for the freight amount which we are not ready to pay for the delayed delivery.
SInce it is not the first incident with Gati, this time we want to fight with them.
(we shipped our machine on[protected] with the docket no.[protected] from vasai to kochi, and they missed the machine somewhere in Coimbatore and they delivered after a month, and still the customer paid the full freight amount.) why would a customer pay for the purpose which was not done on time?
Request the consumer forum to take in-charge of this and get the material back.
Also we request the consumer forum and government institutions to take severe action against these non-complying to the service standards companies by penalising them heavily for every late delivery.
