Sub: Fradulent activities and cheating of Rs.25, 000/-by Shri Prasenjit Jana, having Whats App No.+[protected] attached with Godrej Interio, P-44, CIT Road, Scheme-VII(M), Kankurgachi, Kolkata -700054.

Sir,
This is to inform you that on domestic need I visited Godrej Interio, Kankurgachi Showroom (ph.[protected], M: [protected]/[protected]) on 4th November, 2022 for Modular Kitchen. On the very same day the Godrej Showroom sent a person named “PRASENJIT JANA’’ to my house for site visit and measurement relating to construction of modular kitchen. On 7th November, 2022, Shri JANA made a 2nd visit to my house with a computer made drawing of modular kitchen as per my requirements and placed a contract showing total price for the work Rs. 55, 000/-. He told me that within 7 to 10 days the work will be completed if I placed order right now and for which I have been asked to pay 50%of the total price for purchasing raw materials as per contract submitted. Considering the urgency of the modular kitchen and believing him as an employee of Godrej Interio, Kankurgachi I had paid Rs.25, 000/-by issuing A/C payee cheque No. 252276 dt.[protected] drawn on State Bank Of India, Kalindi Housing Estate Branch, Kolkata(Code:07961) Pin700089 in favour of “ Prasenjit Jana” S/B A/c No.[protected] for the above mentioned work. Thereafter, he did not do anything and time to time telling concocted stories over phone /whats app to justify the delay. After a lapse of one month a doubt arose and on enquiry at Godrej Interio Showroom, Kankurgachi, I am told that that Shri Jana left the job in the month of December 2022 and they could not provide his I.D when the same was asked for. The first time visiting[protected] Money receipt No.315408 dt.04-11-22 of Rs. 500/- issued by Godrej Interio was genuing and Rs. 500/- cash payment was received by them as said by the Manager of Kankurgachi Godrej showroom.
In this connection it may be mentioned here that Godrej Showroom did not take any feedback from his staff (Shri Jana) on visit of my house on[protected] and receiving Rs. 500/- cash for the said visit.Futher it is learnt from reliable source that Shri Jana is working in Godrej showroom of another branch but the manager neither disclosed nor provided his identity details when asked for. Last December 21st. Shri Jana send a message through whats app that he will refund the money and for which he asked my bank details. Shri Jana did not refund the money till date.I do not have any other information/data about Shri Jana excepting his Mobile No.+[protected].
In view of the above, I would request you to kindly look into the matter and direct him to refund the money at the earliest. Hope you will do the needful from your end.

    I recently purchased one steel Almirah, one dressing table with mirror, one file cabinet from Godrej interio from Dwarka store and main showroom at Godrej Office at Okhla. There were defects in the dressing table and after so it was replaced by a new one after 15 days. Then new one was also the same defect. After that the Technician could remove the defect by hammering and other method. For file cabinet, I requested the technician, who attended the dressing table to bring 10 file covers for file cabinet. He told that he would do it after checking its price. That was 10 January 2023. Till now, He has not informed me and kept silence. He was Nikhil. This is the state of affairs. If your system is that these products would be supplied by ordering from home, then it should be complied strictly. Bluffing has no place. Bluffs and bluffs. Please see to it.

      On 16/09/22, I made an advance payment of Rs1000/- for a sofa at the advice of the salesman. He said that after a few days, the discount would be unavailable. My hasty choice was a Rhine 33 Recliner. The showroom was Dakshinapan at 2, Gariahat Road, Kolkata -700, 068. On 10.9.22, I changed my mind and made the final payment for a Hexa 3 Seater Sofa. However, the lady dealing with the payment did not adjust the advance amount with the final payment. Perhaps that was a mistake. Till then, I have been asking the concerned salesman for a refund of my money. Unfortunately, despite his best effort, he could not meet my request.
      That is why I request you to take the necessary steps to refund the advance amount as soon as possible.

      I sought from the showroom salesman, Mr Anjan Dey. After that I asked the Customer Care. Having been failed to get any response, I raised the complained.

        I have purchased a Super King-size bed frame. Which had to be reopened as I moved home. So I called a godrej authorized installer to do the uninstallation and re-installation. but recently I realized he has not reinstalled the bed frame properly as a result the frame is unstable and makes noise every time you move on the bed. upon checking it is clear that the installer has not placed all the required screws to make the frame stable.           I placed an order of Godrej Kreation with a token money on Oct 30, 2022. After committing to deliver it with in 20 days they deliver product on DEC 5 and arranged installation on Dec. 7, 2022. THEY HAVE NOT DELIVERED COMPLETE PRODUCT. There are two door missing. Even they are not responding me regarding any update.
          I am very disappointed with this deal. I paid full amount before delivery and now I am trapped.
          After 37 days they deliver me incomplete product and after making many calls they are not taking care of this at all.

              Godrej interior - I bought furniture - Almirah and Queen bed from them few years back. Handle of the almirah detach and tail board of queen bed is also detached. Their person came to see on 19th Nov 2022 and took Rs.400/ without doing anything. Almirah handle is there with me as it is, and their person does not have any screw to fix it. When i asked why cannot he fix it? He said this model gets absolute. I asked why your sale obsolete model do? there was no answer except - this is old one. I asked him again - " in how much year are they changing almirah and bed?" He has no answer for the same.
              On 21st Nov 2022, Their service person Mr.Suman Shome[protected] called me and saying that handle of almirah cannot be repaired and tail board need to be purchased again. I asked him when they deliver the product to us, it was on part to part basis and they assemble all the parts in my place. Now when there is no damage in the bed or in the almirah why cannot they fix it with the screw or necessary accessories of fittings? Why do they sale obsolete items. There was no fruitful answer. Then call has been transferred to their Supervisor Mr.Satyabrata Mitra and he has also no suitable answer. As a common person, i am asking here once again to GODREJ management - do we need to change our furniture in every 5 or 10 years?
              After selling their product, if they cannot repair without buying the parts freshly- why do they sale such products to us?
              If their person cannot even fix a simple handle of almirah or alignment of almirah - why do they visit us ? And why do they charge Rs.400/ without doing anything?
              I need strong action with such fraud company.
              They are making money using us. Now they are asking Rs.6993 for the tailboard of my bed. I will not pay them anything beyond repairing charges and they should fix it without compelling me to buy tailboard. And for almirah - if they cannot fix the handle and alignment - i need compensation.

              I wrote to them on mail but they have no courtesy to reply to my mail.

                Hi Team,

                I have purchased Godrej HIT Anti Mosquito Racquet- Rechargeable Insect Killer Bat
                With LED Light 1 pc on 06/09/22 in Big basket.

                But now it is not kill mosquito even after giving charge and LED working.

                I have Registered warranty and it is well within the warranty period, now requested claim for defect. I have not received any further call or email after the acknowledgement. When I call customer care the call is disconnected.

                    I purchased Godrej Interio kitchen cabinets and got Steel Kitchen installed in February 2022 from Designworks Inc., Gurugram email [protected]@gmail.com (Reference Mr Ramit).
                    The installation is giving some trouble like the drawers do not close or open by them selves.
                    Supplier is being contacted since Last week of May 2022 for the same but no action seems to have been taken.

                        On 31st October 2022 at Godrej interio store, 28-33, JMD Regent Arcade Mall, MG Road, Gurugram- 122009 (HR) Tel:[protected] I ordered a wardrobe “slimline blend Ivry Russet”. Received the delivery o[censored]sed piece, the packagings were not fresh. When the technician opened the first package the parts were broken, prefixed, dismantled & re-packed. The display piece was sent as I suspect. When called & reported to the store/ showroom, the person denied. I was expecting some quick response but the day went by and there was none. Please advise. I have multiple things to settle on my short visit to India on my annual leave. Thanks

                            Complaint for New Ace Full Back Chair with black headrest :

                            I, (Customer Code/Name : WWC000011, Sales Invoice No: 100031I12252554 Dated 25/07/2022), had purchased a New Ace Full Back Chair with black headrest on 23/07/2022 from Godrej Interio, Borivali. Till date it had already been repaired three times, but still it is defective.

                            Even when I had not shared the “SMS” sent by company, with technician who visited, and I had signed the work completion paper with comment that work has not been completed, I received a SMS that my complaint has been resolved.

                            The last person, technician Mr. Ilyas Shaikh who visited on 23rd September, had taken/recorded audio-visuals of the squawking sound and other defects on his mobile and told me that he will forward it to his higher-ups and they will take the decision whether to replace the chair, but even after laps of a fortnight I heard nothing from the company. I called him back on 7th October and he told me that he will again talk to his higher-ups and inform me, but in vain. Then after a few days I lodged a complaint again on 10/10/2022, which was received by a lady at 03:45 PM, but nothing happened. I didn’t even receive a complaint number.

                            1) Head Rest is loose even after hammering and screwing by your technician who hadn’t even heard the name of “ACE” chair. The screw is coming out with the metal part in which it is tightened. He hammered it in as if repairing an old chair and the screw head looks torn and worn.

                            2) Back rest mesh is loose, as if it has been used for years.

                            3) Hand rest and seat squawks so loudly, like old unused doors, while shifting body that everybody in the house come to know about it.

                            4) Height adjustment leaver is fitted wrongly.

                            5) Metal base of the chair has dent/cut marks.

                            6) The following warranty sticker explains that ( which has tick mark on “1” and “8-9”) the chair was assembled in 8th or 9th month of Year 2001 and sold in 2022?

                            7) I am not able to understand that as per website “Delivery Condition is Knock Down” then why chairs had come assembled and not in knock down condition and assembled at my place.

                            My observation is that the chair was assembled and not used for a very long time.

                              Inferior products & horrible after sales support !

                              First things First, please do not buy Godrej Interio products. Please find list as to why am I saying this:

                              1) Products are Inferior/look & design wise they are at 80/100. Inferior I mean, they are not made for long lasting (I mean they work upto3-4 years max). The pasted upper layer of the furniture just got peeled off at places after 3years o[censored]sage and the fault is not related to the usage at all. The peeling off happened...

                              I ordered modular kitchen and my first payment was made 6 months back and I even paid them the balance payment before shipment of their product. The total being 2.4 lakhs.
                              However, till date the work is not complete ie more than 6 months. Also the work done is shabby and the switch left hanging, doors without handles, holes in the wall left open, gum on the floor not cleared, etc. The so called distributor is now not picking up my calls.
                              A very annoying and pathetic situation. I wonder how I fell into the trap of such irresponsible Godrej personnel. Never again I would pick up any Godrej appliance or furniture.

                              I wanted to add here that the Distributor from Mumbai is Malhar Enterprises. Please be aware of this distributor and the staff posted there. I have had bad experience with them.
